Dear guest, Firstly, we were very disappointed to read your experience during your stay in our Barceló Jerez Montecastillo hotel, whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience on this occasion, please believe we do extend it with all sincerity. It is of great concern to read the inconveniences you experienced during your stay as they are not the regular feedback we receive from our guests. For this reason, we assure you we are taking very seriously your comments and analysing them with the entire management team to develop an improvement plan. With regards to the rooms, we will share the inconveniences caused by it with all involved departments with the purpose of avoiding immediately those kinds of situations in the future. We take this opportunity to inform you that our Hotel carries out a pest control with certified companies. But unfortunately, our location and the climatology make very hard to exterminate all of them. We guarantee you that we will investigate the incident to find the source of the problem. We would like to also apologize for not being able to assist when moving rooms as we always offer the chance to help our guests with their luggage. Of course we will investigate why this help was unavailable. It saddens us to read that the gesture offered by our duty manager was not what you expected as we always study the situation and inconveniences of the stay to offer the most appropriate solution. To conclude we would like to clarify the described situation with the unfinished buildings across from the hotel. These belong to a construction company, not associated with the hotel, that stopped working on them. We extend our most sincere apology for the impact this may have caused. It does indeed sound from what you describe that some aspects of your stay did not meet our usual standards of service, please accept our sincerest apologies for failing to make your stay with us a perfect moment of relaxation, we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention. We do apologize for the technical problems you encountered, there are absolutely no excuses for details to be overlooked as all rooms should be thoroughly checked on a daily basis. We will make sure that the procedure is being reinforced. Our Resort, consists of two different buildings. One of them is the Barceló Montecastillo Golf (5 *) and the other one is the Barceló Jerez Montecastillo (4 *). These buildings have a distance between them of only about 200 meters. Both in our own website and in the information provided by the collaborating companies, it is clearly stated that the 4 * building shares the facilities and services with the 5 * building. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. We sincerely regret reading that you found ants in your room. We have in place a regular pest-control plan and of course work hard on a daily basis to avoid their presence within our grounds, however at certain times of the year, depending on the climatology, the presence of insects is unfortunately unavoidable. Thank you again for your visit and constructive critics, our primary goal being to assure our guests feel comfortable and fully enjoy their visits, we are eager to regain your confidence during another occasion if you gave us that chance. This is just one corner with the most ants in one photo, actually s still from a video of the room. There were literally thousands and thousands of ants. Worst room in any hotel I've ever stayed it. Had to switch to a third room due to total disrepair.
Balcony view looks like a war zone.
No other to even fix the handle on the door. Just smeared, hardened glue.
Spider webs and spiders from total lack of cleaning. All there rooms were far from clean.

We did not discuss or consider full board , But I upgraded all our party to All Inclusive ! All inclusive is a far better option , as it includes all meals, lunch & dinner, plus all drinks, including Beers & cocktails, house wines & Cava with meals, Plus use of extra facilities! It is not cheap , but price varies on season etc, But still great value !

Yes, and the hotel advertises it has an airport shuttle, but does not.

Our hotel is 10 minutes drive of the fair. Near the fair, you can find parkings and if you decide to take a taxi, the cost is 18 euros approximately. If you choose to stay in Barceló Montecastillo Golf Resort, the reception staff will help you in everything you need regarding directions and transfers. Regards.

Buenas tardes, Le agradecemos su interés en nuestro Barceló Montecastillo Resort. En nuestro hotel se admiten reservas con mascotas solo en las villas, tanto en las de un dormitorio como en las de dos. A la hora de realizar la reserva en dicha villa, tiene que indicar que viene con mascota, ya que hay que abonar un suplemento de 20 € por noche por este servicio. En aquellas habitaciones donde se alojan mascotas, el hotel coloca un pet kit de cortesía. Quedamos a su disposición para cualquier consulta que tenga al respecto y esperamos poder recibir su visita pronto en nuestras instalaciones.
