Equestrian Escapes booked this quaint hotel for our 5 day trip to visit the annual horse fair and we loved it. The owner works there and is very helpful, arranging taxis, printing out our boarding pass for flight home, booking a table for flamenco in local bar etc. The hotel is in the old part of town and a short...

A little gem. Well sited for walking to all the sights of Jerez. Beautiful restored building. Lovely rooms. Friendly knowledgable staff who where most helpful. Lovely little roof terrace with views to the Catheral.. lovely in the sunshine and at night. Very comfortable bed. Standard continental breakfast offering but plenty of it.

We stayed for three nights at this delightful, different hotel in Jerez and were glad we did. It isn’t easy to find but it is more than worth the effort. It is small, quaint and comfortable. The rooms are very good, staff is caring and competent, the breakfast is good and the hotel is situated within walking distance of everything....

Small hotel with amazing staff and well located within walking distance of all. We stayed here with our two adult children during Easter Holy week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rooms are small but functional and the roof terrace extremely pleasant. When we return to Jerez we will be staying here again. Highly recommended.

Small hotel very well located and walking distance to the town but in a nice quiet location. everyone really pleasant and helpful and we had no complaints at all. Nice roof terrace to relax on. Alejandro and his recommendations made for an even more enjoyable trip.

We are a couple who stayed for 2 nights. The b & b is a short taxi from the airport, cost only 15 euros. The location is in the old part of town so has a lot of character and is a short stroll to everywhere. The ladies at the desk were friendly and explained the curious keys, whilst we...

We stayed one night. It's a hotel full of character, with differently decorated rooms. Alejandro speaks perfect English and was very helpful. Our room was small and our windows faced inwards to the covered courtyard area. There is no television but there is free wifi if you need to catch up on the news. The immediate area is a bit...

excellent information, recommendations, and contacts. Alejandro more or less made all our arrangements as soon as we arrived and everything worked out well. our room was quite small but we had asked for a large bed and this was very comfortable. Breakfast was cold fare but well presented, fresh and enjoyable.

Very well positioned hotel whose owners and staff could not have been more helpful. We were given great advice on places to visit and how to reach them. It is slightly unusual in that the windows of the rooms faced inwards onto a central atrium. Nice roof terrace, good breakfast and reliable wi-fi. Recommended for a short break in Jerez.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Alejandro who welcomed us with a glass of sherry and a thorough history of the drink for which the Jerez area is famous. His knowledge is encyclopedic and he is delighted to share it with his guests. He recommended and arranged a wonderful evening for us of sherry, guitar and flamenco in a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Fonda Barranco is a Typical old merchant's house in the heart of Historic Jerez. Built on an ancient site in the oldest part of the Islamic city. The house mostly dates from 1865, but parts of it predate by several centuries. Each room is subtly different and opens on to the central marble floored and plant filled atrium. Although mantaining all the characteristic features of the original building, all rooms have moderns amenities such as air conditioning and wifi internet access. We also have a room adapted for clients with special needs. Breakfast is served on our roof terrace with the magnificent view of the Cathedral. With only 8 rooms and 2 studios La Fonda mantains the ambience of a private home. For this reason it's particularly suitable for group booking, having the feel of an exclusive house party. We have a non smoking policy through out La Fonda, however smoking is permitted in the upper open air terrace area. ... more   less
