We booked the hotel with Tui and paid extra for a room with a lake view after reading
reviews on the Tui website. We were given a room in what appeared to be the annex. The room was small, nothing like what had been shown on the photos and the shower room was the smallest that we

This is a fine hotel with great staff, however it is a large hotel that caters for predominatly older big groups. It is currently going through a remodel. We had a superior room, which was lovely and a fantastic view but the rest of the hotel is still a bit 90's. The breakfast wa

Are there ironing facilities available, or should we bring a travel iron?
Yes, you ask at reception and they will arrange for an iron and ironing board to be delivered to your room at a particular time. You can have it for 30 minutes and then the maid will come back to collect.

My husband and I are traveling there next week. We have a 6 month baby. Is it baby friendly? Is there a fridge in the rooms etc? Also will the hill be a problem? Just deciding what pram / sling to bring!
I would say it is baby friendly although it is a long time since that concerned us. We had a fridge in our room so I would think all rooms had one if not then I am sure they would provide one. The hill is quite steep but got the fit and healthy not a problem. Enjoy your holiday.

Hi again, thank you all for replying to my previous question. I have another question. We want to do a trip on the cable car at malcesine. I’ve read it’s best to go early and book tickets online before you go. What time does the first ferry leave limone in the morning to go across to malcesine and what time is the last one back. Also is there any wine tours in the area? Any tips on things to do would be great as it’s the first time I’ve ever been and we only booked it a week ago so not a lot of time to research. We’re an active couple. Thanks.
We were there in July and caught the ferry from Limone from Malcesine - 10/15 min walk to the promenade area from hotel. First one leaves around 9am and last one about 6pm. The ferryman will give you all the times and a little map, which is useful. You can buy combined ferry and cablecar ticket here and saves you queuing once at the cablecar reception! Go to the hotel reception and get the discount card. Great views off the top of the mountain. Wear good shoes. My sandles held me back. Trainers would've been better. Enjoy. It's fantastic!

Hi, staying here next week and I am just worried about the long transfer from the airport. We are flying in from East Midlands with Tui, have transfers included in price but wondered how long it takes? I know we will have to wait on bus and then the long journey dropping every one off so wondered if it was worth paying for a taxi but iknow this would be about 100 euros each way . Hope someone can advise. Thanks
Definitely no need for a taxi! It will not be much quicker as any drop offs are just on the same road.
