The snow hotel tour was good. The Gabba restaurant creates a communal feel allowing the guest from all over the world to get to know each other. The sleeping bag demonstration though funny - it's important to listen to - especially if you want a good night sleep. I slept throughout the night. However going to the bathroom at night...

We can say we stayed at the Snowhotel, and saw all of the facilities built out of ice and snow, and for those who want a truly different experience, it looks great, and everyone we talked to who experienced it were pleased they had done so. As for my wife and me, we stayed in the Gamme cabins (of which...

I definitely had to write a lot here, since it was such an amazing experience! And I tried to put as many tips as possible. There was a free shuttle from the hotel we were in town to the Snow hotel, which is about 20min far away. If you are going to sleep at the snow hotel, the time on...

We were informed to be the first couple to stay snow suite of Kirkenes Snowhotel for two nights. I noticed some staying their second night in the cabin. For me, really this stay must be once in my life. Every staff I met is very nice and helpful. It started from a detailed tour around in Hotel area. By this...

I loved this hotel! It was such an adventure to stay here overnight and to have a drink to the Ice Bar, go dog sledding and on a king crab safari. The hotel gives you a mummy down sleeping bag, cotton sheet liners, a balaclava, and wool socks to sleep in. You have to draw the string on the hood...

The Snowhotel experience is one that my kids and i will have fond memories on forever. In a troubled season there was a SNAFU with our booking due to delayed construction. The hotel rebooked us and sorted us out in other ways that made me really appreciate their understanding of pleasing the customer. As for the stay, we had a...

This was great fun despite the cold! The snow hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, stunning ice carvings and wonderful frescoes carved from the snow in each "room", subtly lit. We were very well looked after - such a lovely international staff. The evening meal was delicious and the demonstration of how to get into the sleeping bag was very entertaining!!...

This is the first ice hotel I stayed in. It's one of those tick list things. It was all very pretty and an experience ( although I got far too cold by morning but they warn this happens) but the services and location are a bit disappointing. The husky safari was interesting and fun enough. The restaurant however a massive...

Just got back from this spectacular adventure. Spent the first night in the Snow Hotel - beautiful with carved walls with scenes of animals and Disney movies (I was in the aptly named Frozen room). It's like a gigantic igloo with 16 or so private rooms. the showers, toilets and lounge are all in an attached heated area. They give...

We even serve snow in the restaurant! Our romantic Snowhotel opens December 20th., and is open until April 20th. Kirkenes Snowhotel lies secluded in the wilderness 8 km outside Kirkenes.
