After reading the star ratings I reluctantly called to reserve. Got there and was shown to our mini room the size of maybe 10 X 10. It was in a barn. No bathroom door. No privacy. No Tv. No WiFi. No AC. No dehumidifier. Water smelled like sulfur and iron. So clearly no filter. The room smelled of humidity. He refused to reimburse us even 1 day since we left andat early. Breakfast was a joke. A couple of glasses of yogurt. A golf ball sized TimBit and a glass of orange juice. Spend a little more and go elsewhere. Not that this place was cheap either.

The unit my wife and I stayed in was very rustic although the bed was comfortable enough. We were shocked though that the toilet (it was a flush toilet) was outside on a second floor balcony. There was a waist-height privacy curtain so people walking by could see you up there doing your business. As for the shower it was also outside- essentially a shack with no lighting. The whole experience was rather like camping- not what I expected. I feel this should have been disclosed. To be fair, the breakfast was very nice and the place did have a rustic charm to it. But I won't be back.

Response from Monique Lortie, Propriétaire at Les Jardins de L'Achillee Millefeuille

Biking on the P'tit du Nord bike trail. 50K and weary we arrive at this B & B. The most unwelcome we have ever felt at a B & B. The host seemed frazzled and made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to him. Ordered us around, gave no relevant information, particularly that the shuttle promised to get us to dinner was not running which meant we had to bike back to the village or order in from a restaurant that would take 1 and a half hours for delivery. Also he "forgot to buy beer" so no drinks available. Pointing at far off buildings to tell us where we would have breakfast, with little explanation as to how things work, answering calls while speaking to us, talking to other guests for over 10 minutes while he was with us and we waited. He was so disrespectful and abrupt with us. Couldn't wait to leave. The amenities promised were not provided and no discount was extended to compensate. We couldn't wait to get out of a place the made us feel so unwelcome. We noticed that the B & B is for sale and it appears that this host has obviously lost his passion for hospitality.

Response from Monique Lortie, Propriétaire at Les Jardins de L'Achillee Millefeuille

Please let us answer your comments, Just so you know, that we are a very small business, being so, we have to answer sometimes to many people and take a phonecall, which also happens in big hotel. To inform you also that there were 2 groups before you arrived which had to be served, hence why there was a small waiting time o 5 to 10 minutes, As you also know we had to adjust all our bike packages because of the pandemia, there was no transportation and all our customers were advised. By consideration to you, as we know that bikers just want to get to their room and rest, we pointed out the main house for the breakfast to save you more steps... As far as the sale is concerned, please let us inform you that we always remain professionnal and believe that our clientele deserves the best attention, that is why we have a very good rate of retention. I want to thank you for your good support and tolerance and the opening of your heart for knowing that as a small business coming back from the closing period du to pandemia, we are all trying to adapt and our main goal is to make sure that our clientele is happy....

Very quiet place with a nice rustic look from the outside. We appreciated to be able to walk on the P'tit Train du Nord trail at night. The "Pumpkin" room is not very large, but it was so warm, we loved it. It would have been nice to have more than a curtain to separate the bathroom from the bedroom though. Hosts were amazing, they offer a large variety of meals everyday and they are so fun to talk with... I can't think of a better way to start a day in that beautiful Tremblant area.

We stumbled on L'Achillee Millefeuille by chance, and how happy we are that we did. Hidden away on 9 acres in the forest near La Conception, Quebec, with only six rooms, it is an almost idyllic place to stay -- whether overnight or for many days. Claude, owner, host and all-round gentleman, takes good care of you from the moment you arrive until you depart. All rooms have a name. Ours was Bleuet (Blueberry). In contrast to the rustic exterior ambience of the place, the interior decor of our room was extraordinarily thoughtful and pleasant. Very comfortable bed with smooth organic cotton sheets. Breakfast is such a feast of choices that one is almost left wishing you could stay for more days just to be able to try everything that chef Claude serves up. Highly recommend. Worth going out of one's way.

Very conveniently located along the trail and a 6 km distance from Tremblant. Clean, comfortable room and a delicious, healthy breakfast at a large table with other guests in the morning. Host Claude is very knowledgeable and facilitated our group's visit to Tremblant for an evening meal. Our group enjoyed this unique B&B stay.

Very friendly hosts. The B&B is in a beautiful location. Very nice surroundings and garden. Our room was clean but quite small and gloomy. Unfortunately the balcony was not a private balcony as we expected. The breakfast had a very big choice to choose from and was very delicious. What bothered us was that the B&B act as very organic and ecological. But when we took a stroll around we found a trap with a small creature captured in it. That’s not what we understand for nature loving.

Although I am firm proponent of environmental practices and this establishment came recommended by family members, I can’t say that I was blown away by this establishment. In fact, I found the entire experience of staying here, simply adequate, at best. I will give credit that the host were somewhat accommodating, but the reality is that I would not recommend this establishment based on the following reasons. The website is onerous to navigate. It’s not particularly cheap to stay here. The bed wasn’t fantastic. The lighting in our room “the studio” was horrendous. For example, shaving requires good lighting, however, the lighting in our room was so poor that I was forced to use the flashlight setting on my phone just to see how adequate my shave was. The breakfast was adequate, but the coffee was so weak, that I swore I was somewhere in the American mid-west being served typical watered-down American coffee. Last, the old fridge that was located in the room was very tired and basically useless, since it froze all of our vegetables and eggs. These old fridges are also inefficient, and somewhat contradictory to the message that is provided by this establishment. I struggled with this review between average and poor. All I can say is that I would not recommend this establishment, nor would I stay here in the future.

Our stay at Les Jardins de L'Achillee Millefeuille was so wonderful- we were warmly received by Claude when we arrived. Nothing about the stay felt routine-we felt like special guests- though they've been accommodating guests for many years! The room was very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast spread was full of tasty homemade options. The b&b was clearly built with love and care, and so there was a sense of home- and as others have noted here- magic!

Peacefully hidden in the forest, this wooden style country B&B will see us coming back for sure. For breakfast we had a delicious selection of local treats, all freshly home made. The rooms are individually decorated with all kind of artifacts and the balconies are inviting to just spend the day in one of the comfortable deck chairs. I would recommend this place to any traveller looking for a quiet place away from the busy slopes of Mount Tremblant.
