We stayed at Bayview Pines in July 2023 during the Storm of the Century -- pouring rain, endless thunder & lightning, washed out roads and bridges, etc. But we were dry and cozy in this B&B on the top of a hill, overlooking the ocean. This is a nice establishment, with clean, quiet rooms. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and prepare a delicious breakfast. There is a common area where you can get clean towels, other supplies, ice, glasses, travel info, umbrellas, etc. There is plenty of parking and a large yard with views of the Bay. No complaints from us! Note: There is a minimum stay of 3 nights. Ask for a room with a veranda.

Beautiful large home B&B with additional restored separate suites in “barn” on property. We had 3 rooms in the main house, which allowed us access to private living room area, to share. It’s on a large property overlooking the bay, about a 10 minute drive outside Mahone Bay. Super quiet at night time, wonderful breakfast and lovely hosts. Our best stay in Nova Scotia!

My husband and I have nothing but good to express about our stay at Bayview Pines Country Inn Bed & Breakfast. Joanna & Chris are gracious hosts that made sure we had everything we needed during our brief stay and served us the most delicious breakfasts during the duration of our visit ~ we guarantee ~ you will not leave their table famished. The breakfast area was a delight for us! We appreciated the fact we had opportunity to meet & greet with other guests and thoroughly loved the bright decor and refreshing scenery all around :) Everything about the house and the landscape truly made it a country style home! From the fourteen acres of pasture to the lovely views over the ocean, it all made our stay a peaceful one ~ well done Joanna & Chris, you both have done well :) We highly recommended you seek out your future stay at Bayview Pines Country Inn Bed & Breakfast ~ you will not be disappointed 😔

Chris and Joanna are the lovely proprietors of this welcoming B&B. They are both so helpful when it comes to asking what is nearby and things to do. Whatever you ask they strive to be helpful and make your stay enjoyable. It’s very clean, very well maintained as well as eco friendly. The breakfasts are excellent with locally sourced food and we were lucky enough to have homemade marmalade! It is off the beaten path so therefore quiet and serene with Mahone Bay just a few minutes away by car. We were lucky to have wonderful weather so we could sit on our veranda and take in our surroundings. Would definitely recommend this B&B. We want to come back!

Spent two night at this Bayview Pines Country B@B in Aug of this year. What an absolutely gorgeous place. Views of the ocean from the front and back. Large well maintained property, with a cozy spot on the shore across the street which has Adirondack chairs and a fire pit with fire wood/splits ready for use. The breakfast is very tasty and there was no waiting at all for the meal to be served. The owners are lovely people and made sure we were well cared for during our stay. We would certainly recommend this wonderful B@B to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the Mahone Bay NS area. Close to town and all that the area offers. I could have sat on the lawn all day and watched the numerous various sailing vessels sail past. Very relaxing to say the least.

What a lovely view everywhere you look. The rooms are sweet - clean and nicely decorated, and unique. The breakfast we had was absolutely delicious and filling. The folks who own it are charming and kind. They even have an adorable doggo. Only a few minutes from Mahone Bay (lots of views, shops and restaurants). They seem to be following all Covid protocols, and it felt very safe (re sanitizing, distancing, masks, etc). The location is quiet, so your sleep will be restful. There are lots of lovely spots outdoors to sit and enjoy the view. There's access to the bay (very close, essentially across the yard) to walk down to the water. Only a few rooms had separate beds, but there are some. Would be a lovely getaway spot for couples. Went with three other friends, so took 2 rooms with mult beds, and the rooms we had all had their own full washrooms.

We spent a lovely three nights at Bayview Pines Inn/B&B, (in the Captain’s Room #5, on the second floor), in the end of September. The rooms are located in a separate building, across the driveway from the main building/home/dining area. Two of the sides of the Inn, overlook the water, making for some lovely views. The room was clean and nicely decorated with some interesting antique pieces. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and looked out onto a porch, and the bay beyond. Had the weather been warmer, it would have been nice to sit and relax on the porch with a glass of wine. There was a small refrigerator on the 2nd floor landing area that we were able to use. The Inn is located up, off a long gravel/sand driveway, so it was not right on the street, albeit it was a quiet street. Breakfasts were very nicely done and filling. We also enjoyed the small resident dog, Harriet, who loves playing with tennis balls, and is very good-natured and quite a character. (She is limited to the area in the back and side garden of the main home and thus cannot come into the other building where the guest rooms are located.) We greatly appreciated the quick email response from Joanna, who was very flexible in our original plan of arriving late. Many thanks to Joanna and Chris for your lovely hospitality.

Joanna and Chris were our wonderful hosts at this beautiful property. We stayed in the Suite #4 the First Mate that was in a 200 year old barn converted to rooms that consisted of a large bedroom area complete with a huge dresser, comfy bed and a big window overlooking Mahone Bay. There was a sitting room/TV room 2 steps from bedroom with a large balcony complete with chairs and a great view. There was even a crib board and cards in the common area! We had a delicious breakfast and interesting conversation about the area with our gracious hosts in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again!
