Detailed Reviews
This campground and attached resort were lovely. We stayed there twice on our trip to Vancouver Island and back. The campground is very open, no trees, but the lot sizes are not bad. We liked it mainly because we had use of the pool and hot tub while there that were included in our camping fees.

This is a really nice KOA placed in a beautiful setting with large wide spots, perfectly manicured landscaping, 50 amp service, friendly staff and managers and WI-fi that works very good. Very Quiet. They have rules but they are nice about it.
Great satellite reception and if you want they have free TV channels. Inviting pool, golf course, food delivery and an on site casino. Even comes with a river and I suggest splurging on the back in river sites and listing to the water as you fall in slumber.
Covid - 19 protocols are top notch.
THhs is one campground you have to try well worth the effort.

Magical, mountainous views only rivalled by the legendary service provided by Richard and his team. We couldn't count how many times we were assisted by the management team and how grateful we were. Lots are spacious, amenities maintained in immaculate condition. Leadership is evident on so many levels.
If considering the region, stay here. You will find dinning, golf, swimming, spa, gambling, nature walks and river views all within walking distances from your home away from home. Very pet and family friendly. Lots of smiling, happy people and pets.
Full serviced lots, nearby refuse receptacles, private showers and modern laundry at your fingertips. Our stay left us without any wants.

After several long days on the road, we decided to treat ourselves to what we thought would be a relaxing stay at this KOA near Cranbrook, based on their many positive reviews and the very appealing website photos of the pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, our experience was a huge letdown.
First impressions weren’t bad—the sites seemed spacious for a KOA, with full hookups—but things quickly went downhill. After we signed their lengthy disclaimer forms, the receptionist casually mentioned that the pool and hot tub were out of service and had been for quite some time. This was frustrating, as it would have been nice to know before booking. We felt misled.
The worst part of our stay, however, came at 4:30 a.m. when we were jolted awake by rotating lawn sprinklers intermittently blasting both sides of our RV with what felt like a high-pressure hose. Unlike a steady rain, the spray was erratic, loud, and extremely disruptive, making it impossible to sleep. The sprinklers continued for a full hour, soaking everything, and there was nothing we could do to stop them. The restful night we had hoped for was completely ruined.
When we went to the office to voice our concerns and request a partial refund, the manager was conveniently "unavailable." Despite repeated attempts to contact her, we never heard back, and the receptionist’s promise of a follow-up call or email went unfulfilled.
On top of everything, the sites offer no shade, and the overall atmosphere felt poorly managed, with some questionable long-term residents hanging around. For the steep price of $88 a night, this was simply not worth it.
The positive reviews you see here likely reflect the previous management, so be sure to check more recent reviews on other sites like Google before booking. KOA should be ashamed of how this place is run under its new management.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this KOA.

Beware. The CEO will not replace the Manager to save money. They have not done maintenance on the electrical - in the heat we couldn't run our AC because instead of 50amp service - which we paid for - we were getting 30amp. You have to argue with Staff to get any service - grass watered and cut etc. Parties going all night, no one on site. KOA Corporate should be ashamed to give them the franchise.

Was not impressed with the casino, nor the eating area in the casino. Reminds me of a mall food court, very uncomfortable and the prices are high.
The room was okay with the exception of the toilet that was so close to the door, good thing I’m double jointed or I would have had a hard time getting toilet paper off the roll. The lighting in the bathroom is terrible.
Staff was not very friendly at all. Passing them in the hallways, they wouldn’t even make eye contact.
We only booked one night here so hubby could go golfing, but would definitely stay at the Days Inn right Cranbrook as it’s only a 10 minute drive to the resort and casino/golf course.

Not only is it you're typical KOA, which is clean, well planned out, all services, but this place is a notch above most. Customer service is 11 out of 10, its location to the golf course and casino and river and and and is just one of the most accommodating RV parks in north America. Awesome staff, well run, well maintained. Not a bad thing to write, kudos to the entire team here.

We LOVE this place! The first time we came we just kept coming back and it always exceeds our expectations! Richard the manager and his staff go over and beyond to make your stay the best! They do give adapters for the hook ups and he even helped us with getting our TV going properly so we could have the baseball games on! RV park is so clean and sites are big and spacious! Badminton and volleyball nets set up. Water park. Laundry room in clubhouse. Golf course is right there which is an amazing golf course! The staff will drive you to it with your clubs. Top service! There is a heated pool and casino right there! Spa if you want! Not sure where else in Canada you are getting all of this! I would recommend this to anyone. We always keep going back. Hopefully KOA recognizes the amazing job Richard does there.

great place to stay with lots of history in the area. this was reasonably priced with clean and friendly staff. would recommend people to check this place out. a river runs right though the campsite and it was only a short distance to the city. the bonus is there is a really nice hotel, with places to eat and another bonus is there is a golf course and a casino attached to this. highly recommend it

Very nice Koa, great manager at the desk, newer updated Koa journey. Big sites, close to the casino, and I went golfing 3 times at their golf course which is in pristine condition. Pool is up at the resort attached to the Koa, but it’s not to much legwork. Probably the best “Journey” KOA I have been to. I golfed, wife went to the dog park…life was good here😁
