Soon as we arrived, the place looked stunning, so we decided to take a picture of it. Then a nice fellow by the name of Austin said he would take a picture with us in it! Then, when we got to our Christmas party room, He was bartending our event, and let me tell you, he made the experience excellent, from tossing the bottles up in the air to making jokes while doing it, and smiling all day! The food was great, our servers were great. Everyone had a blast, We really appreciate everything you guys did and the hospitality level was a 10/10. Also, at the end of the day, Austin gave everyone a glass of water to chug, so they were hydrated. You guys are lucky to have such a great guy Thank you Again Kind regards Heather!
This is a very unique place everything you would expect from a resort, too bad the fancier option to eat was closed would of loved to try the food. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Well worth the extra fifteen minutes drive from Cranbrook
Went to Numa for a date night with my boyfriend and had the best dining experience with our server Tamara. Top notch dining experience thanks to Tamara's energy and pleasant nature. She recommended Numa to us and we were lucky enough to have her be our server. Thanks again Tamara we hope to see you again soon !
This is the second time we (my 82 yo Mom and I) have come to these facilities, the first time was in August 2022. Some of the same people were here both times. Starting with Tracey at the front desk, everyone was awesome. In the casino Melody kept us well watered and Walter along with Alan kept us well fed. I highly recommend anyone looking for a break to visit here.
We had a lovely stay at this property. The staff were wonderful as they were friendly and efficient. We were lucky enough to be given a corner room with a view of the grounds. The location was wonderful as the resort setting is quiet and beautiful.
The atmosphere was awesome! The pool was great! the food was awesome! And of course the casino! Had a great time there. Won a jackpot and immediately the slot attendants were there. I was impressed! The room was great! The scenery was second to none. Lots of history and will be returning on a future trip, as I was unable to see everything this time around. The flowers were beautiful. Took lots of photos!
We have been coming to the St. Eugene Mission for over 15 years for an annual trip and always pay a premium ($300 per night this year) to stay in the beautiful original Mission building where we frequently visit the Numa bar, the fine dining restaurant and access the spa. We enjoy this part of the hotel and the beautiful surroundings, and usually feel we receive good value for the money. On this trip however we felt the price we paid far exceeded the services and the experience the hotel provided. Firstly upon arrival we found that the Mission building reception desk was closed, as well as the lounge and restaurant. We had to go to the Casino Lodge building to check in and whenever we needed anything from the front desk. The other dining options in the Casino and Club House were very limited and not near the fine dining caliber we usually expect. There was also no daily room cleaning services, and our room was dirty when we arrived with empty beer cans and pretzels under the bed. Only after 3 nights would they try to service the rooms. In the recreation/spa center one of the two hot tubs was out of order, the sauna was closed and the drinking fountain was not functioning. All this when the hotel was apparently fully booked so the facilities were being heavily used. We also found that priority treatment was given to members of wedding bookings as only they were allowed to use the Numa lounge the one night it was open. Other guest were turned away though there were empty tables and it was operating as a cash bar. We were told many times that all these problems and the limited services available were due to staff shortages but when we went to Cranbrook to various restaurants and bars to eat (we had to drive there every night as we had such limited options at the Hotel) they were all well staffed and operating at full capacity. If this hotel prides itself on being a high end expereince and at the caliber of a Fairmont property (which we used to feel it was) and charges rooms rates accordingly, then it has to offer the services and facilities to support that claim. If they have staffing issues and can’t provide the services and facilities expected, then their prices should reflect that. When talking to a very pleasant guest services agent about our concerns regarding the rate we were charged, compared to the experience the hotel currently offered, we were told that they couldn’t take responsibility and there was little they could do because we booked through a third part (booking.com). Maybe booking sites should make their customers aware of the risks they take when not booking with the hotel directly. All we were offered as compensation was a $14 breakfast “to soften the blow”. With a bill of $900 for three nights that seemed a pretty token gesture. We wondered why we were paying top dollar for a fraction of the usual experience we’d come to expect? Other then a note on their website saying that their dining outlets are limited due to staff shortages, there is no indication that the hotel is just a shadow of it’s former self – at least for guests who are not part of a booked wedding event.…
We always enjoy our stays at St. Eugene. Comfortable bed, nice linens, friendly staff. Dining room was closed unfortunately but thd burgers at the golf course were great. Grounds are pretty and it's a great hold course. We'll be back.
We only took advantage of the casino on our trip through. Unfortunately there is no parking for a 53' rig unless you check in to the campground, ( which looked very nice) but we did not stay. Found the casino very clean, quite small and also expensive. We stayed a short time and proceeded down the highway. I cannot add any details about the hotel so I shall not.
Here for a conference and the staff are so nice, very accommodating. Susan in charge of the front desk has been super, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel welcome. My room wasn’t ready before 5, they treated me royally and very apologetic for it. When it was finally ready, and I called the desk to order food and beverage, it was Susan who went out of her way to make it happen! I’ve stayed a lot of places, but I’ll never forget how they have made me feel special here!
