The guest suite is well maintained with all necessary features for cooking. It is comfortable and very close to the national park. The setting is peaceful quiet and the sitting area looks out on the river and a beautiful forest view. It was perfect for our hiking getaway

We stayed in three-bedroom main floor house owned by the same landlord - not the Guest Suite. It was fabulous. It has an well-equipped kitchen with more than basic spices and equipment. This matter if you are going to cook and you are. It was spotless. Bonnie immediatel rectified any very minor problems (empty gas tank in the Bar-B-Q and a missing tea pot (excellent coffee facilities). We look forward to Bonnie opening a cafe next door.

Went on a 5000 mile road-trip in 2008 (yes 2008, not 2018 as Tripadvisor made me choose) with family and 10 month-old infant. Couldn't find anything we liked in Marathon so check-out the Pic River Suite. What a great find! Bonnie (same owner as today?) had the space painted in warm floral colors, fresh wood work, nicely appointed, wonderfully functional kitchen, and spacious! Best of all: less pricey than the terrible hotel accommodations back in Marathon. And Bonnie was a gracious, loquacious, and outgoing. We had intended to stay for only three days in the area. Instead we stayed for most of a week. With Pukaskawa National Park mere minutes down the road, why leave paradise when there was zero reason? We'd love to return someday.

Such a peaceful place to stay, lovely view of the river, basic kitchenette but functional. Essential supplies to use in the kitchenette really useful. Home from home rather than sterile hotel accommodation. Mid May and still cold, a hard frost overnight and cool wind meant we couldn’t enjoy using the beautiful patio and swing.

We spent 2 wonderful days here. It is quiet and peaceful. The Park was closed for road work and we decided to be on retreat. The accommodations we lovely, Bonnie was very helpful and respectful of our space . Eagles flew over our heads, the river is right out back and I spent my time on the porch out back listening to the quiet. There is a kitchen and a grill. I recommend bringing food with you to maximize your time here. The internet works great and there is a TV.

We stayed for five nights in July. The suite has a beautiful view of a mountain meadow and Pic River. Very tranquil. Very friendly, responsive hostess. Pukaskwa National Park is close by with many stunning hikes. We hope to return!

We stayed at the Pic River Guest Suite for 4 nights on our way to Mackinac Island. (Its only a 6 hour drive to the St.Ignace Ferry landing). A lovely location at a first nation village with two spacious rooms. It offers a lovely view of the Pic river and a quick drive to a nice beach on the shores of Lake Superior. The host Bonnie Couchie was invaluable to us during our stay -- She also runs a guide service with her partner Gourd Martin --which we highly recommend (its called "Wild and Misguided Adventures"). They geared the trips to our 9 year old and it was perfect. We hiked one day in Pukaskwa National Park; then went fishing using a canoe on the second day in a beautiful river; and the 3rd day went on a canoe trip down the Pic river to Lake Superior and day at the beach. I highly recommend their lunch option during the guided trips. They are extremely competent canoeist and provided us some wonderful adventure and scenes. I highly recommend this B&B for a family visit to Canada's northern shore of the Superior Lake and visit to Pukaskwa national park. In the B&B, we were able to cook our meals in the kitchen ...(remember you aren't staying at the Ritz) ....we made do with and also had a gas grill that we could cook our meals. The rooms were clean, the shower hot and WiFI good for some work during vacation and connecting to family.…

We chose Pic River Guest Suite primarily for its proximity to Pukaskwa National Park, and also as an alternative to your average roadside motel. We were very happy with our stay. The suite was perfect for 2 people but could accommodate 4 - small kitchenette included, nice patio with beautiful views, very clean. A good night's rest before hiking the Pukaskwa Coastal Trail.

The Pic River Guest Suite provides great accommodations and an amazing view of the Pic River. We stayed at the Guest Suite and then visited several nearby attractions including Pukaskwa National Park and the Kwewiskaning Coastal Trail. The scenery and landscape was simply breathtaking! Just a few travel tips write or print out your receipt and invoice from Paypal and bring food and drink since this is a guest suite and not a B&B.
