I stayed at this Auberge with three friends for a quick getaway and we were thrilled with our time here. We purchased a two day package that included our room, breakfast one morning, dinner one evening and a spa treatment and we loved everything about this place. Starting with Sandy at reception who was very friendly and informative, to the cleanliness of our large room, with a great balcony, full kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, comfy beds, great pool, sauna, gym and hot tub, great massages and then there was the food at the Bistro. Our breakfast that was included with the package was delicious, and our four course dinner was beautifully prepared, very tasty. The staff, servers, cleaning ladies were all very friendly. We would 100 percent recommend this place and we have already decided to make it a yearly tradition. THANK YOU Auberge West Brome.

Our stay was perfect. The staff were extremely kind, smiling and gave valuable advice. The food is prepared with quality ingredients, a varied and interesting choice and more than generous portions (even a little too much and we had to bring some back). Finally, everything was very clean and the room with fireplace was very warm. A place to recommend without hesitation.

We spent a few days at the Auberge West Brome (Feb 2023). We always enjoy the area of West Brome/Sutton etc for its great scenery and skiing. We had stayed before at the AWB but typically did not partake in the on-site dining. We were very impressed by the quality of the offering from the chef as well as the amazing staff in all functions (reception, maintenance, service at the table). We wish to highlight the exceptional professionalism of Christopher Detillo who oversees the service during dinners. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous but has a very generous and attentive way of making sure that the guests have a great experience. We highly recommend and will be back!

The reception at the Spa was very warm and welcoming. Compliments to Nathalie for a superb massage and facial!
I was disappointed because the Auberge and the Spa are 2 different identities. Be aware of this because if you reserve at the Bistro for meals you need to either walk or drive on an icy path-the parking lot is not well maintained either. I would have preferred to eat in the room but only noticed after 2 days that there was also a toaster and kettle in the room. No housekeeping service which I was made aware of only after the reservation was made! Given 2 different reasons by different receptionists-one was Covid and one was lack of personnel. Also, be aware that the receptionist is not always at the Auberge after a certain hour; if you need something you will see her home phone number posted on the door of the Auberge and she will be there - she says in 4 minutes. It would have been nice if the receptionists were more helpful in suggesting places to see in the area or recommend restaurants.

My wife and I stayed for one night and we had great expectations of this resort prior to our arrival. The person at the reception was very nice and welcoming, the main building is attractive. We got there after a rain storm and the parking lot was quite muddy. A paved parking lot would be a welcomed improvement. The room was quite nice but the bathroom is quite 80ish, need a renovation/upgrade. we used the outdoor Jacuzzi...the jets did not work, the water was actually cloudy and the outside deck and lounge chairs would be what you would expect at a Best Western or Holiday In, not a resort like this one. The outside gardens are overgrown and the landscaping needs some love and money to upgrade its overall look. We felt that the Inn is in desperate need for upkeep and investment. We did not eat in the dining room as they had no time slot suitable for us which is in fact our own fault as we only attempted to book a table the day before. It is a nice place that would need renovations in our opinion. Not a wow for us unfortunately.

We have stayed at this hotel at least six or seven times (as part of our annual family ski trip) for many years. Their cancellation policy (which I was familiar with) was Set out clearly in the confirmation of the reservation they sent me. When we were unable to take our trip this year ( due to covid concerns) they instead charged me double the cancellation fee set out in my reservation room contract. When I pointed this out ( both on the phone and subsequently in emails) silence in response. So now the additional charge has to be disputed through my credit card. The sad thing is that it was only a difference of 50 bucks -but the principle was important and the customer service response ( and lack there of) for loyal repeat customers was galling. .... so they just lost loyal repeat customers-so please consider this review if you contemplate this hotel as an option. Don’t.

The site is very well maintained as well as all facilities. My only downside is the quality of the cooking which seems to have deteriorated after Covid if I compare this one several years ago before Covid. I don’t know if it’s the lack of staff or whatever but for sure we can no longer give the gastronomic mention at the restaurant the Bistro. For example we were served twice to my spouse an overcooked or uncooked beef bib. Note that the piece of meat did not look like a beef bib given its thickness. I ordered the halibut. Approximate cooking as well as little taste associated with the sauce. However, I would like to thank the institution that made a point of fully refunding my spouse s service. Would I go back to that inn? Probably yes but not for the kitchen.

A lovely country inn and wonderful attached restaurant. Beautiful, picturesque setting close to Sutton’s skiing and many attractions, within an hour or so drive of Montreal. Friendly and welcoming staff. Massages at the spa were awesome, outdoor hot-tub and indoor heated pool are perfect combo during the winter. Get the meal package and enjoy the amazing food as well. Will definitely be back!

The hotel is isolated in the countryside if you want a quiet place, and there are picturesque villages (Knowlton, Brome, Sutton with a ski station in the winter, plus many other ski stations in the region) around if you want to explore the Eastern Township.
The inn consists of four building: the reception and restaurant with dining room for special events, and two other buildings connected together with a large heated pool (if you want direct access to the pool ask for building 3 and ?), and another one aside. During the COVID pandemic, the gym, the spa and the dining room are closed to limit contacts, but the pool remains opened and the restaurant provides the same meals for take outs to the room. We went in the middle of the week and were almost alone in the premise. Since the hotel is located on a former 200 acre farm, there is a private trail wandering around the rolling hills if you want to take a walk or snowshoeing during the winter. Since the hotel was condos before, all the rooms have a kitchen with all the amenities, an electric fireplace, air conditionning, and one or two queen beds naturally. We will come back for another lovers retreat.

Normally, I enjoy going to the Bistro at auberge West Brome, for dinner. The January first brunch, however, was expensive and poor quality. Much of the food looked like it had been sitting out and was cold. The eggs, especially, were tired.
Servers nice but we treated some friends and I was embarrassed by the poor quality of the food. Total cost was over 335. Really disappointing. I wrote to the hotel and they didn’t even answer me, even though I have been a regular customer for well over a decade.

We aim to offer great experiences to our guests, and we clearly missed the mark with yours. We’ve received positive feedback from the majority of our clients, who are consistently satisfied with their visits. That said, we are reviewing your feedback to address the issues you’ve raised and make improvements moving forward. Best regards, M.Ménard

I too went in the fall. The best idea would be to call the Inn and speak with them directly. They are all very nice people and perfectly bilingual (English and French)
