I don't often tend to stay in a motel, but this was the only hotel/motel available for our hockey weekend away. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious and clean, and breakfast was yummy. And the customer service was fantastic. Overall, a good experience.

Before booking, I checked reviews and photos and it looked like a great place to spend the night between Halifax and the ferry. Positives: the beds were clean and relatively comfortable, a very spacious unit with a unique layout. Negatives: the floor was so damp it almost felt wet, it smelled like the room was closed up for a while, breakfast wasn’t available until 7:30 am which was past the time we had to leave, the bathroom was old and extremely dated. The unit overall was very dated and desperately needs a good coat of plaster and paint. Not the worst place I’ve stayed, but certainly not close to worth $230 for a night.

We're pleased to hear that you found the beds clean and relatively comfortable and that you appreciated the spacious unit with its unique bi-level layout. However, we're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay. Regarding the damp floor and the closed-up smell, we will investigate this matter to ensure it doesn't happen in the future. We're also planning to paint the room during our quieter times to refresh the space. We understand your frustration with the breakfast timing not aligning with your departure plans. To provide a solution, we can leave breakfast items in the guest fridge as per guest request. The room is equipped with a toaster and condiments such as jam, butter, and cream cheese so you can prepare your breakfast at your convenience in the morning. As for the room rate of $230.00 plus tax, this rate is for our family triple rooms, which are suitable for larger families. Unfortunately, our single and double rooms were fully booked at the time of your reservation, which may have influenced the rate availability. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will use it to make the necessary improvements to enhance the guest experience. We appreciate your input and hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with a more enjoyable stay. We stayed at Coastal Inn, Antigonish last night. Honestly, I was skeptical. But, I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed around back in the older section in the cutest, cosiest room. It was spotless and had everything! If we needed extra towels..anything it was in the cupboard to help ourselves. Ordered breakfast on the QR code for our specified time in the morning and it was perfect. I just can't say enough. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Easy and efficient pre-check in including a door code for your room before you even arrive. We were able to pre-order our breakfast items and have it delivered to the room at our chosen time the next morning. Very comfortable and clean room. All hotels should study this place. Great management!!!

The Coastal Inn is located off a road outside town and the traffic quiets down so it was pleasant during the night in terms of noise. The accommodations are basic but really decent: clean, comfortable bed, the use of splits for air conditioning (which are wonderful and an improvement from window air conditioners), good towels, decent amenities, and the wildest breakfast (Continental style) I have ever had! You order your breakfast from a link the night before and pick it up at your chosen time. It is on a tray and ready for you, all except the coffee. Good choices too. My only complaint: the excessive use of plastic products, but I can understand that dilemma. The people who ran this place were helpful, kind, delightful. Good place to spend the evening!

We had a Queen room at the back overlooking the lawn. Travelled with 5 couples for a local wedding. Very peaceful. Clean, well equipped room with very comfortable bed, nice continental breakfast, good coffee. Would definitely recommend!
