We recently spent 4 nights at RayPort. They let us come in a day early because we weren’t happy with the campground we were at. We were supposed to be at RayPort for 3 nights.
We were thrilled with our site on the river! We literally backed up to the edge of the river and listened to it for 4 days! After a long day of driving, it was exactly what we needed. I could actually fly fish from my site. The staff was more than helpful with whatever we needed. They even came and pumped our black water tank at no charge. The bathrooms were clean and the water was hot. The only problem we had was the WiFi. They were having a problem and it didn’t reach our site. But that was minimal. We would happily stay at RayPort again and highly recommend it.

Ray and staff are absolutely the best! Friendly and accommodating to a fault. Our plans kept changing and Ray was more than happy to work with us and make sure we were taken care of. Also, because our trailer has an unusual sized sewer outlet, one of the staff went the extra mile to find a solution to empty our tanks. Cleans washrooms and laundry were great as well.

We showed up after 10pm. After travelling all day. We called with an hour notice and they were able to accommodate us. The owner came out to meet us and check us in at arrival, very friendly and kind, well stocked store for snacks and breakfast items. Very reasonable nightly rates.
Free showers, lots of hot water, very clean! Laundry onsite and we discovered a pool the next morning. Will definitely be back there on the way back from NB!

This large family operated campground excelled in some areas and fell completely short on others. The pool was quite cold but large enough for families to enjoy but no benches and no chairs. The advertised playground was a broken swing set with no structure and next to the dump station beside the pool. Very little grass for the kids. The roads on the grounds we nice and wide and some great long roads to take your bike and explore. The store was appointed with sufficient items should you forget something and a small walk down the main road will take you to an amazing family run food truck. Our particular site was very tight on the river but wide enough to enjoy a nice campfire. There is no sewer hookups and they forget to tell you to book your honey truck appointment to be emptied. Dump station on site but is tight to get to. We won’t be back

I can't say enough about this positive, amazing campground. It was absolutely beautiful, I could feel the stress leave my body and flow up the stream when driving in. We were welcomed with smiles and kindness and shown the park amenities and map of the campsites. The office is outstanding and filled with all the essentials and treasures you would need. We stayed on a different site each night as we drove around the south shore. The campers were absolutely wonderful, kind, and respectful. The campsites were large, clean, and absolutely picture perfect!!! The bathrooms were amazing, absolutely spotless, and hot showers with excellent water pressure. The laundry room was bright and absolutely sparkling clean. The pool was perfect and beautiful! Very clean , honestly the cleanest campsite campground I have ever seen. This is the number one campground in Nova Scotia!! Hands down!!! It's close to Chester, Mahone Bay , luenburg, and Crystal Cresent Beach . Absolutely wonderful memories! They make you feel very welcome, and it's easy to see the pride this wonderful family take in their family campground.

Was a great family friendly place for us to spend the night while cycling the blue route with our family between Lunenburg and Halifax. The family that runs this are friendly and helpful and made us feel at home during our brief stay. To you I say - Thank you so much for how welcome your made us feel and how helpful you were. You have a beautiful spot!

We stayed in a large lot next to the river, the campground itself was a quiet place except for the traffic noise as they are close to a major highway. The place was clean, pool was clean and well kept. The lots are all 2 way, however they will send the honeywagon down to clean you out before you leave if you ask nicely. They had free Wi Fi as well.(We had no cell signal there) We will be coming back, as they were very friendly and we enjoyed the river and wildlife.

Ray was a great host and the overall service was excellent. I needed a 50amp converter and they loaned me one. I forgot my phone charger and they loaned me one. The pool was warm and plenty big. The WiFi was amazing! (We streamed Netflix). Site was big and on the river. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

Response from Dave E, General Manager at RayPort Campground
Responded Aug 9, 2018
We are so happy you had a great stay exploring the area and that you enjoyed our WiFi. We thoroughly understand that great WiFi is so important to our customers for keeping in touch with loved ones back at home, or simply for streaming Netflix. Looking forward to your return. I will pass your kind words along to Ray. Thanks so much, Dave and the RayPort Team
