The location of this hotel was for me superb. Sat at the end of the pedestrianised area . A short walk through the town to the lift station with the skim lockers beneath. The town is lovely with some wonderful shops and bars. The Hotel!. The food was great, hot and tasty with a good choice on offer. the Ah la...

The location is excellent and the staff are friendly. However, unlike some other reviewers I found the hotel/gasthof to be average. The food, in the main, was very average and the room as very dusty and not cleaned well during our stay. If you stayed outside of half term this might seem good value for half board. The skiing was...

Return visit to the Kirchenwirt . Still the same winning formula. Our room was refurbished since our last visit and suited the makeover. Plenty of storage space and nice bathroom. Food is plentiful with a choice of up to 8 main courses at dinner. The staff are all friendly and work hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. Wi-fi...

Had excellent week skiing february half term. Old fashioned hotel, great location close to centre and gondola. Great staff especially Rainier and Naomi who looked after us really well. Lovely food, comfy beds, only downside is no lift, but would definitely stay again.

January 5 lads on a ski trip. Great service from welcoming staff. Good local beer and food and great location. It's old and traditional but I like it like that and spotlessly clean. Except the day of the night race when hundreds of revellers wrecked the town :) . Austrian efficiency next morning and all returned to normal in no...

If you're looking for five star luxury you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for excellent value for money in a traditional Austrian hotel with a friendly atmosphere the Kirchenwirt is just the place. We stayed for one ski week. The main lift is only five minutes walk through a mainly pedestrian area. Our rooms were pleasant and...

Just back from a 'Fabulous' Ski Holiday in Schladming. The well located hotel on the main square was perfectly placed. my son and I had a twin room on the front, 2nd floor, and it was a proper twin not an 'Austrian' twin which was perfect. From Christina on reception to Danniella at breakfast & dinner, we were looked after...

We stayed here whilst on a recent ski holiday. It's a traditional hotel, some of the furnishings are a little tired but for me it added to the charm. Note, in common with a lot of traditional Austrian hotels there's no lift but think about the climb to the 3rd floor every day as part of your ski fitness training...

This is the first time I have visited this hotel and it certainly won't be the last. Hotel room and bathroom were spotless and the view from the room up to the ski slopes was truley breathtaking. Continental breakfast was fine and a 3 course evening meal with plenty of choice was enjoyed every night of our stay. Easy walking...
