Spent 3 nights here to visit a local fighting bull ranch & the lovely old hill town of Arcos de la Frontera. Rooms are simple but adequate. Pool area was relaxing. Buildings have many original features. Breakfast is charged separately but unless you want to drive a few kilometres, there is no alternative. You can squeeze your own orange juice,...

We ended up on this property by chance, and it was one of our favorite stays. The farm was charming, with stunning views of the countryside. The room was comfortable and the price was more than reasonable. I would love to stay there in warm weather, and enjoy the pool and magical surroundings. Please note that you need a car...

The pros: fantastically located in very easy driving distance from Jerez, Cadiz, Sevilla, the "white villages" (Grazalema, El Bosque ...) etc. Apart from the inhabitants of the cortijo and the odd tractor (they also run a farm) you can hear nothing but the sounds of nature. Very useful swimming pool. Extremely relaxed owner-managers who try to accommodate whatever is requested....

A week here on a singing course was idyllic. Located within easy distance of Cadiz, Seville, Jerez and Grazalema, the temptation to stay by the swimming pool reading from the library or playing with Toby, the sandal-stealing puppy, proved impossible to resist, though I did make the effort to visit Seville, Grazalema and Arcos. Self-catering casas and apartments are available,...

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. My husband and I discovered it a few years ago and have visited four times since. We married there in may 2013 and it was perfect. The receptionist, remedios, was fantastic, as were all the staff. We stayed for a week with all our guests and it is fair to say everyone...

I recently dragged 50 friends and family from the UK to Arcos for my wedding at El Cortijo Barranco. It was an incredible venue that left our friends speechless. It is situated in the middle of nowhere which created the perfect intimate wedding atmosphere. One of our guests is disabled and was amazed by the lengths the staff went to...

We stayed in this beautiful pet friendly place in December 2012. It is set in a breathtaking countryside of Andalusia near Arcos de la Frontera. It was a little difficult to find the turn to this property from the main road in the evening, but if you arrive during the day you aren't going to miss it. Stuff was very...

My mother and I stayed at Cortijo Barranco in September 2012. We loved it and will definitely try to go back. The location is very good for exploring this part of Andalusia as it's well served by two excellent roads and is only 30 minutes from Jerez and I guess around 90 minutes from Seville. Closer to home; Arcos de...

Located in a lovely spot at the end of a mile long unmade road. Very rustic with iguanas scurrying around. We stayed in the middle of May but the weather was still very hot so it was nice to have a swimming poll all to myself. The evening meal and breakfast was a bit pricy for what you received i.e...
