Very upscale, classy hotel, full amenities, nice quite rooms, unbelievable breakfast spread! Although this hotel seems to be part of an ancient midieval fortress, the rooms were very quiet. My room (309) had a nice view of the neighboring roof tops and church steeple nearby. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I'm in Landshut.

Very friendly family run hotel with excellent service and a great location. The hotel is one block away from the Altstadt with plenty of shopping and fun places to eat. We were also able to wander the fresh market that was set up on Saturday.

We liked staying at the Goldene Sonne. It is unmistakably German rather than 'international' cosmopolitan and predictable. Staff were good - pleasant, polite and helpful. Breakfast was a great buffet with a very wide range offerings to suit a wide range of tastes. Dinner was good and considerable. We had the cream of potato soup which, slightly to our surprise,...

The hotel is situated in the heart of Landshut, a short walk from the river Isar, the shops and the restaurants. The rooms are exceptionally clean, mini bar is free and the breakfast is excellent. However in the bathroom there was only a shower gel - no shampoo, no conditioner, no body cream etc. The bike rental is not free...

Very good location near all historical places of this city. Easy access to this place via public transport. Original building was built in 1520 but today it is good combination with traditional old German style and new technologies.

Nice town with friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Both church and cattle are pretty. The highest brick church in the world to compete with castle height !? Enjoyed river side to eat pork dinner, beer, wine and huge asparagus! Comfortable bed, but small shower room which I needed to squeeze myself.

Stayed two weeks as part of International Study. Rooms were exceptional, excellent food, staff beyond exceptional and hotel is centrally located in town. Easy walking distance to most areas. Keep updated on famous Landshut wedding. If possible visiting during this celebration is a must.

The hotel is situated one street back from the main one that runs through the centre of town but its location is excellent for that reason. A quieter location with easy access to the restaurants, bars, cafes and shops in the town centre. We stayed just before Christmas and the hotel entrance was delightful with lights and decorations that made...
