Wonderful experience and the rooms are very good. Rooms are equipped with modern switches 24/7 hot water supply. The best was the hot water shower as it was maintained at the right temperature.
The room I stayed was facing the hanging bridge having a cool view in the morning and evening especially.
There is also a artificial water falls which is timed from 5-6pm in the evening.
The property has 2 swimming pools which was closed due to pandemic.
Food was average for the price. Since I had stayed over a weekend there were lot of people and live counters too busy that it took more than 20 minutes to get a pasta. The number of food choices were also less and average in variety in the buffet.
They have transport services to drop/pick up to the rooms all the time.
Big parking space was available and the resort also arrange for cleaning the cars at a nominal price.
Indoor games, cycling, archery, kids play area, zip line are available.
Room services are very quick and the staffs are helpful and friendly. Abia from front desk was very helpful and suggested helpful tips for our sightseeing visits.

Forced to give five star for the first time and the place deserves it every sense. Right from reception (we were upgraded to a pool villa straight away on arrival), restaurant, the villa amenities, breakfast, house-keeping, spa service, resort activities to checkout and staff service, we were amazed at the excellence. My daughter got locked inside the bathroom in=advertantly and the house-keeping response was almost instant to release the jammed door. The ambience (in the midst of forest and tea plantations) is unique and a life-time experience. The only minor negative point was that some of the restaurant staff needed to be trained a bit more. In short, the stay here is an experience not to be missed.

Whether you are with family or friends, whether on a holiday or a corporate get together and want to be within raw nature yet want five star luxury, then Vythiri Village Resort is the right place to be in. This is an amazing property of 12 acres well withing nature. Right from the entrance you will be surrounded by the greenery as they have ample trees of various kinds all grown naturally. The variety of flowers and fruit plants they have is amazing and atreat to watch. The entire resort is maintained very well. The rooms are of various types but have a touch of luxury. The stress houses are awesome and the villas are just outstanding. The Vista rooms which are part of a high rise building are like watch towers to look at the neverending forest. If you are lucky, you may sight wild animals as well especially elephants. They have a natural stream flowing through the resort and they have created a hanging bridge over it which is outstanding. They also have a waterfalls within the resort though made artificially. The infinity pool is nice and the activity areas are full of outdoor games. The restaurants serve all kinds of food which are well made and palatable. The breakfast spread is also nice. The people out there are very hospitable and keep a watch on the comfort of the customers. The bathrooms are really nice and the accessories are upto the standard. They have large hall for banquets and corporate conferences. They have a tie up with Club Mahindra as well who has taken 35 rooms there..all well maintained near the hanging bridge. Managers like Biju are well trained and well behaved and F&B and Housekeeping team are well mannered too. My family is very happy as we spent four nights there and have come back completely rejuvenated. I strongly recommend this place to my fellow travelers.

I am writing this review sitting in the property..

This was our first outing during this pandemic which was indeed considered after multiple thoughts more around safety and cleanliness as we were travelling with 3 kids.

After having multiple calls and reading through the reviews we finalised to visit this amazing property. As soon as we entered the property, it was a big deteriorating factor! Here are the reasons,
— Checkin took long time and waiting with kids in that hall full of people without proper social distancing was painful.
— Getting the luggage to our room took much more than what we waited to complete checkin
— Had booked 2 rooms, in which one room didn’t had the power connection at all. Worst part is to attend this issue, the service took almost 30 mins to address and finally changed the rooms after multiple requests and waiting for another 30 mins.
— In another room, in-room phone was not working, no hot water and we are with a kid. No proper signal within room, not sure how to reach room service!
— The kettle provided isn’t working!
— You can see the patch work done in the room which is quite visible (not expected in this so called self claimed 5 star property)
— The most annoying was, for evening dinner, we were sitting at a table with the kids and trying to order À la carte and there comes a person who literally shooed us away stating the table is booked! Not sure where was the board as I couldn’t see anything kept on our table! I felt indeed we are also guest in that property and they have pretty huge place, they could’ve made some arrangements. Moreover we took that table after speaking 2 folks who was managing the dinner.

All the above are from 1st day, unfortunately we have another day to spend. You can imagine how frustrating the experience so far would’ve been..

Frankly speaking, property is amazing and literally pretty huge, but the staff and service is worst! They listen to your worries, but no one comes to act.. Everyone seems to be so busy.. You literally are paying a bomb as they claim it to be a five star one, but the service you get is not even comparable to a normal Homestay in Wayanad .

I understand it might be the time we visited (long weekend) but I think as they claim it to be a five star one, they should manage it accordingly with right number of staff.

I am ending this review still waiting for the hot water to take shower and head out..

Rest you can imagine..

Visited vythiri resorts during pandemic time hoping to have a break from covid news, tensions.
Booking process
Called directly and got package for 2+1 cottage for 8.5k without food since not interested in going to restaurant falling over each other to collect food.
Standing instructions were take room service.
Advance paid but acknoldgement wasn't processed, and people at reception either trainees or forgot how to work because of lockdown.
Stay
On reaching we were greeted and cottage was shown which was newly painted and we started getting headache.
We raised issue and after many calls they came and accomadated us in corporate cottage.
No hot water
Cold winter season room was not having hot water, pathetic.
Property was stinking with drainage smell and at dark not properly lit passages were scary.
Food was average and service was poor.
My advice don't fall for photos shown all over net. Read some reviews before vising

Having heard a lot about the property and great reviews, we booked our 3 night stay at the Vythiri Village resort. While the property is said to be 5 star, I would put it at a bare 4 star (more likely a 3 star).
Check-in was quick and we were taken up to our room 453. The room was spacious but old. Pool was inviting and no complaints there. The bathroom was small but clean.
Issues :
1) The first major issue we hit was that the bedspreads had black mould like stains on them. When we called to get it changed, the next two sheets brought in was also the same. They were finally able to find a clean one.
2) Since we wanted to have an isolated vacation, we had clearly said we wanted all meals in the room, even the complementary breakfast and the booking was made after this was confirmed. But on calling for breakfast the next day, I was told it was not possible. It needed a fair amount of back and forth to get it resolved.
3) Despite knowing that there were 3 occupants in the room and even after saying this during ordering food, we always ended up with just 2 plates! There was even a time when the orders delivered were wrong.
4) There were mushrooms growing inside the room, proving that it was pretty wet inside as well
5) Day 2, we had loud music being played by one of the guests and it didnt stop even after informing reception many times. I finally had to go in person and request them to turn it down. Would be a good idea for guests to take the top most floor rooms since the floors are very good transmitters for noise and it can be a pain when you have people running around at the odd hours of the night.
6) Food was pretty average. We ordered south indian food and even that was just ok.

Good things :
1) Its a big property which you can explore at leisure
2) Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient

Overall experience with Vythiri village is one of the best. Very satisfying stay.
Property: When one has to be enjoy nature, there can never be a better place to relax your mind and body. The property is located in idyllic corner of the forest, undisturbed, almost completely quiet yet close to the main road. Property is well equipped with kid activities and adults can enjoy the surroundings, leaving u with a pristine feeling while ur stay there.
Service: good customer interaction, prompt response to queries; timely attention to issues or requests are their usp. Mr. Srinath, the manager, was immensely helpful right from the time of booking over a phone to check out. He not only helped us with the stay, but also with planning our tour for the day, guiding us with eateries when one is out in the town to discount on spa service on our request. Entire dining staff, Garishma, Rishiraj were courteous. They gave personal attention to our dad who is 76yrs old at any given point of time. Proactive 24-7 customer oriented management.
Food: every dish prepared was made to its best. However spread was limited. Except more authentic cuisines to be served.
COVID precautions: well maintained and organised by the management.

Compelled to write this review on day 2 of my stay itself.
We booked a room which was quoted as a suite with quite a high end resort rate. Following are my qualms
1. The property can best be described as an overrated lodge
2. After the registration at the reception you are asked to pay up in full before you are taken to the room again typical of a lodge cos they either dont trust you are capable of paying or will pay after the stay.
3. At booking we were promised a spare bed would be arranged but we were given a very point blank answer once we checked in that there are no spare beds available so you will not get it. All arguments fell on deaf ears.
4. The place is not just overrated but over crowded as well.. the dinner and breakfast place was not capable of handling the crowd. Live counters had mile long queues with people crowding everywhere with absolutely no precautions taken towards covid protocols.
5. We wanted to order something on alacarte so we got a menu which had chowmein listed on the menu, we as normal practice told the lady we would like chichen noodles which she promptly agreed however we got a bill later with a higher price than what was stated in the menu card on asking the same we were told noodles is not on the menu and hence it's priced different. Now I don't care about 50 rupees but it all feels wrong and points to the fact that they really don't care about the customer

The list can go on but leaving out the less important ones.

With so many rooms, I seriously don't think they can handle the situation if there is high occupancy.

I'm on day 2 , I have 2 more nights to go and hope it doesn't get anymore nightmarish.

Not sure what you mean by sufficiency and what you are expecting from the stay. For a normal couple, 1 Queen bed is fine. Their standard room offers that, with a total area of 29sq mtrs.
