We had a wonderful and safe 3-night stay at Cedar Falls. We needed a code to enter the washrooms and laundry room. Staff was constantly cleaning and hand sanitizer was readily available. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Jonathan. There is a beautiful hike just down the road, called the BX Trail. We visited the BX Cidery, where we sat outdoors and COVID safety was in place. Setting is peaceful and there is plenty of room between sites. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Cedar Falls for four nights in late July 2021. I was staying in a travel trailer with 30 amp and water hookup. From the beginning Sebastien and Catherine were very eager to make sure all of our needs were met. I was able to get change for the showers in the evening, which was convenient. The pull-through site was nice, as was Sebastien escorting me and guiding me in.

The bathrooms are very clean, and even though the sites were close together the heavily wooded site does afford some privacy. The closeness did have some benefits (close to bathroom/shower). I appreciated that Sebastien keeps this as a family-friendly campground as I had my young children with me.

The only thing keeping this from being a five-star campground is the lack of amenities for young children such as a playground. However I understand that management is working to make this a reality.

Thanks for the excellent service!

This is the second time we've stayed here, this time for a week. We ended up in a pull through in the lower section but still had power and water. It was well treed and set up to maximize privacy to the adjacent sites Staff are very friendly and came around on a regular basis. Campground was clean, as were the bathrooms and the showers were pretty generous for $1. It is about 10 minutes to town, so relatively quiet and cool (up in the hills in a creek valley). There was noise at times but mostly from neigbouring properties or roads. Kids playground is a bit lame, and the full service sites near the top are RV Park style, close together. Sani dup is convenient and clean and they offer a pump out your tank service if needed. Across the road is BX Falls, about a 10-minute hike. Great spot, we will be back.

Thanks for your review. We appreciate the positive review and it was very nice seeing you again! Returning guests as yourselves are really our greatest compliment. We do have some great plans to turn our campground playground from ordinary to awesome . The latest addition is a cedar wood built car with seats, a roof and steering wheels. There will be more to come! The newer 50-30 amp sites at the top are geared for larger RVs with a generous 30 feet between sites.

This could be a nice campground if they weren’t out to grab cash from you for everything and if they had staff that actually did their jobs .

You have to pay for everything . Firewood , small little milk crate costs $10. The attendant proudly said it will last you about 2 hrs . Then if you don’t burn it all make sure to lock it up as next day the rest was gone from our site .

Showers and bathrooms , you can’t get warm water in the sink, they’ve turned it off. It’s $1 per 4 mins for the showers, but you spend a minute waiting for luke warm water to come out so really only get 3 mins and it never goes warmer than luke warm . The showers and bathrooms were not very clean and I don’t think they were cleaned daily. They had signs and cleaners on counter expecting the quests to clean . With Covid you would think they would be cleaned non stop.

It was loud , besides the traffic from the road , quests would stay up smoking pot around the fire till way past the quiet time . No one drove around to make sure quiet time was being followed .

Hi: It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay as we pride ourselves in providing a great camping experience for our campers. We do have very friendly staff who go above and beyond what would normally be expected as other reviews describe. They are out and about the campground throughout the day and evening, cleaning, checking on guests, delivering wood and helping campers get set up in sites. We exceed in the service area. We do charge for firewood as do other campgrounds and a generous amount of wood is delivered to your site. If your wood was somehow removed from your site, just letting us know would have allowed us to replace it for you at no charge. We have upgraded the plumbing and have installed a large reserve hot water tank so we rarely ever hear about cold water issues. We often hear great reviews about the awesome showers that we have for only a loonie. We are known for our lovely bathrooms that are kept clean. That frequent cleaning schedule has been stepped up with covid and the additional cleaners and hand sanitizers provided in the washrooms are for any guests that would like to use them in addition to our regular cleaning not because we expect campers to clean the washrooms. If you found something that needed cleaning in the washrooms, it would be good to let us know when you come across anything unpleasant. Messes can happen even though most guests are very considerate and we have cleaned some crappy messes in our time. lol We are vigilant about quiet time and we do move about in our quiet golf carts so as not to disturb anyone. If there is a problem, we appreciate knowing so that we can rectify the issue at the time.

I needed a few nights away to regroup and ground myself and decided to stay at Cedar Falls Campground. I am beyond happy this is where I chose to stay. There is a waterfall that is only a 5 minute walk away, which is just breathtaking and a great way to relax in the mountains. The campground is kept very well maintained, bathrooms are clean and the store is stocked with whatever you may need while away. Thank you, Sebastiaan, Catherine and kids for making my stay so comfortable, Cailex you are on hard working little man, keep it up! I highly recommend Cedar Falls Campground to anyone and everyone!

This is our second year planning our vacation to Cedar Falls and already planning our camping trip for next year. This is an amazing campground and really focuses on families. I'm still impressed how CLEAN this campground is. The staff is incredible and attentive and willing to go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing camping experience. They are nice and close to Vernon, so if you need to pick anything up, you are 10 minutes away. There is beautiful hikes right there so great to go exploring! Highly recommend this campground to anyone!!!

Such a cozy little get away, close to home. We booked our sites for a family reunion and Catherine was able to strategically place us within close proximity to each other which was so appreciated based on the size of each of our trailers. We had a small misunderstanding about one of our sites, but Catherine was very professional in how she handled the situation and it was sincerely appreciated! At Cedar Falls they were diligent about fire safety and any concerns they had were expressed in an effort to keep everyone safe.
The sites are very close together which doesn’t allow for a lot of privacy but it wasn’t a problem and everyone was respectful. If you looking for an off grid feeling getaway this would fit the bill. Wifi was sketchy but when you’re camping who needs it?!
We will definitely book again!

I had certain expectations arriving to this campsite and unfortunately I was disappointed. Our site was extremely small. Our tent took up 80% of the space. It also didn’t have a full sized picnic table and we were four people. On top of that we were extremely close to the family camping beside us. It felt as if we were camping with them in their site. Separated by a man made fence.
It was our first time camping in a private campground so I was also disappointed fires had to be out by 11. Although we are not party people we do enjoy sitting around the fire until we are ready to sleep. Because we arrived late that evening we decided to leave as quickly as possible and try our luck at a provincial site for a walk in spot (which we got and loved) Otherwise I would have approached the staff about a change in site, although they had told me we got the last two spots in the camp ground so I’m not sure where they would have put us. I’m also not sure any of the spots would have been better then a provincial site, in fact I know because I saw them. They did not give us a refund as they said they could have fixed the problem. Perhaps that’s true but I don’t see how. And I was a little thrown by the tone of their email. Won’t be returning.

Hi: Sorry to hear that your experience here was not a positive one and that we were not given any opportunity to rectify the problem. Our campground is very full during the summer and if you were a last minute camper, you would have been notified of what was available and that a different site may become available during your stay. We try to make room for last minute guests who have no reservations because we understand that it can be hard to get a place. Many campgrounds do not allow any fires so we do our best to balance the enjoyment of a campfire with the safety of our guests and campground. We hope to get the chance to see you another time.

We stayed there for 3 nights and really loved this place. What it makes it amazing are the owners: they only had a few days experience as owners but make us feel like home. They go above and BEYOND to make your stay pleasant even though some sites are on the smaller side but would recommend it anytime...

I'm a long term camper, who seen the awesome new management create improvements on an already great spot. Washrooms cleaned twice daily, landscaping done regularly, a good equipped store and very accomodating ownership. It's the middle of August here now, Kelowna is smoky but Vernon is clear blue skies. Great days to take in the emerald colored water at Kalamaka Lake! Doesn't feel like a lockdown here!
