Fantastic sites right on the river. The host, Bobbi, is very friendly and accommodating. Felt very comfortable and at home camping here for 4 nights. Close to PG if you need to run into town for supplies and not far from Bear Lake, Good Sir Nature Park and Huble Homestead. Would definitely camp here again. Only slight inconvenience is that the water has a slight odor and brown tint. It's perfectly safe and potable, just not the most inviting to drink. We used it for cooking, cleaning and coffee and brought bottled water to drink so it wasn't a problem for us at all.
A one week camp with salmon river is becoming an annual tradition for us. We have a 28 ' trailer. The power and water sites are well spaced and sized, private. Campground is clean and well maintained, everything you need is found easily. Feels like you are in a park! So nice to sit on the riverbank and enjoy the view or explore the trails nearby. Definitely convenient to have on site sani dump available. This year was of course a little different, the campground has strong COVID protocols in place - clear and easy to follow.
Salmon Valley Campground is located along a babbling river that lulls you to sleep each night. Campsites are super clean, fire pits with grills, clean wash house, sani dump on site, dry wood available at a reasonable price, split, kindling included delivered with a friendly smile.Super hosts Bobbi Jo and Frank make you feel like family, great community to stroll thru for walking. Coffee shop makes excellent lattes and sweet treats, ice cream available each night with frozen cheesecake on a stick to die for.
We stayed three nights at Salmon Valley campsites, it was a great experience. Owners(Bobbi) made it feel like a friend coming to stay. Great lattes in the morning and letting us know when ice cream sales were on at night. Right beside a river safe for the kids to play in. They will definitely be seeing us again. Thanks for the great family memories. Very dog friendly.
We did our first 2 night get away at Salmon Valley Campground and couldn't have been more delighted with the location, facilities, cleanliness, and kind hosts. Our favourite activity was floating in the river right by our campsite. AND Bobbi made us delicious coffees one morning and then came back and invited campers for ice cream in the evening. We plan on returning in the near future and encourage our friends to join us! just be aware hwy 97 is close by so you do hear traffic noise but evenings it is minimal.
