We came to go snowmobile riding. We stayed here in a cabin, bur cold bathroom it never gets warm even with heated floors. I hate the cold!! They need to remove the king bed and replace with a queen so you can actually move around the room and get out on the side next to the wall without walking into stuff. The living area there is a coffee table behind the couch which forces the couch to be pushed forward and the coffee table is either on top of you or into the fire place. This is not designed very well. They need to remove the coffee table and push the couch back. I killed large black ants in the kitchen and in the bathroom which is weird because this is Feb, cold, cold. The plus side the bed is very comfortable and the shower was the best part, with great pressure. Because the bathroom is so cold turn it on for a bit to warm up the room. If you are bothered by noise you can hear the trucks going down the road. It does have a full kitchen with a full refrigerator and freezer, stove and sink so you can bring your own food. During this time there is not a lot of restaurants open. Sadly a sorry excuse I think the lodge and restaurant on the property was closed because of COVID however, other restaurants have worked with this and stayed open. this was a bummer because I do like to sit at a bar and talk with people we could have kept our distance. The porch was shoveled for the most part however, with the snow the next day I shoveled the steps. I don't know if someone would have done this or not if I had not to be hones.

Cabins were modern and well done. Unfortunately we had a mouse run across the counter and then my wife's clothing bag. Wife didn't sleep well. Mouse traps added next day and I removed a dead one the morning we were leaving. Owners need to have professionals (Orkin, etc) seal cabin like a house. Vents and pipe entries. Mouse ran into fireplace vent first night.

We once again traveled to Lake Parlin Lodge for the annual snowmobile trip to the Great Northeast ! The riding was fantastic, more snow than ever, all the way to Pittston Farm, Long Pond Loop and Coburn Mountain ! Joe, Liz, Jonah and the entire staff made the stay so pleasurable, making everyone feel as though they were family !! Truly a destination that has to visited to appreciate. Once you have, guaranteed you will catch the Parlin Lodge fever ! Wishing Jonah and his girlfriend Amy a safe trip to Alaska beginning a new chapter in their lives !! Date of stay: March 2019

We just left Lake Parlin, this morning, after a well deserved get away. This place is AMAZING! We stayed in one of the tastefully decorated, woodsy, cozy cabins. PLENTY of room in the meticulously clean, cabin for two. We brought some of our own (low carb) food and was able to work in the very well stocked kitchen. The furnishings were up to date and comfortable and functional. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch too! Two nights we stopped in at the bar. So refreshing to see people that love their job and remember guests favorite drink night after night. What a great place to unwind after a great day of sledding. Speaking of which...Liz gave us two great sledding destinations and they did not fail! The gal at Pittston Farm even gave Liv & Joe rave reviews! We hope to return this summer for a getaway again. We’ll definitely book here again! ❤️❄️

Stayed here in the summer of 2016. The cabins exceeded expectations. Built in a place people have vacationed for 100 years, they were warm, with a nice fireplace and satellite TV. They were well furnished, with a front porch and grill; achieving the right mix of wilderness and amenity. The star attraction is the lake and it is beautiful. We caught trout and perch, roasted marshmallows at night, hiked the local mountain and waterfall, saw a moose, and generally had a great family summer vacation. The office was rarely staffed when we were there, but it didn't matter, the caretaker for the property was always around, friendly and helpful, and the owner introduced himself on the first day. Some of the coordination around things to do looks to be in progress (ATV's, rafting), third party providers are available but coordination would be helpful, especially in terms of where one can explore without wandering on private property. Overall, I was a little hesitant to write this review, as I don't too many people finding out about this place. I don't want a lot of competition in booking a Lake Parlin cabin on my next trip into the Maine wilderness.
