I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this hotel. The owners went above and beyond to help us with our stay. MaryAnn is such a beautiful caring business woman.I will definitely recommend the Voyager to anyone who is looking to stay in Yarmouth overnight. We miss you all.You stay here a night or two and you make a new family.
Was very impressed with the hospitality of the owner and friendliness of staff. Room was well appointed, clean and updated with newer bed, furniture and washroom facilities. For the price I was very please to stay here and will do so again the next time I am in Yarmouth. It is only a short 5min drive from the town and located in the country you get that down-home country charm! Highly recommend!!
Its a nice little hotel run by a family from Manitoba . The rooms is clean and all working . Its a bit difficult to find if you are new in town as it is in the end of the road and the GPS do not show . The hotel do not have a restaurant but it has a nice little country restaurant just next door . The Bailey restaurant and bakery is nice , you must try the mussel which is cheap and good and big too ,, the pie and bread there are also fresh and nice and cheap also . There is breakfast offered in the hotel , nothing fancy but basic and fresh . The area is very scenic and you can dry to the light house in 30 min and the coast drive is impressive . Downtown is 15 min and there arte eateris there for your every need.
Ok where do I start.. first off, me and my sister booked a room at this motel and it is NOT close to downtown at all. The room smelled like a hobo just moved out of it, the rugs were filthy with stains and cigarette burns probably from the 60’s, it also had a bad smell of dirty cigarette smoke, and I seen a bug, possibly roach like. Which brings me to the bed- I had an itchy feeling during the night and woke up with bites on my left leg. GROSS. When I was coming out of the shower in the morning I was getting dressed and was walked in on naked by one of the house keepers when my door was LOCKED, and she didn’t even apologize. And after all this don’t you suppose when we went to check out I had a stale muffin (which looked better than the one that had a slight green tint to it) for breakfast, which was the only food they provided. While I was eating, I heard the older lady that must own it talking badly about some of the staff and was ignoring me and my sister the whole time. We also heard what sounded like a couple screaming at each other upstairs. Not very professional. I will NEVER stay at this dirty gross motel ever again or recommend it to anyone!…
Amazing gem only a few minutes outside Yarmouth. Service is definitely down-home NS family hospitality - Mary-Ann is the queen of maritime hospitality. Stay here once and you have new friends for life! Be sure to give this place a try next time you visit Yarmouth and surrounding area.
We stayed at this motel for the first time last night and we will definitely stay there again. This is an older style motel with a parking spot in front of every room which makes it so much easier to lug stuff in and there are chairs in front of the rooms so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. The motel is well run, well maintained and squeaky clean with air conditioners so cold it will make your teeth chatter if that's what your into. They serve a free continental breakfast which a perfect start to our day. Our room had a small fridge and a microwave. The motel is located minutes from downtown Yarmouth, restaurants and shopping. It was also extremely quit with not slamming doors like you get in closed in hotels. The motel is also pet friendly. A perfect place to stay for the budget minded.…
The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a staff and owners that were helpful and upbeat. The breakfast included fresh fruit, donuts, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, juice and great coffee. My wife drinks tea and they were happy to provide that.
I booked this motel the day I was traveling and got a great price. From the outside, it looks like an older motel, nothing special. When I opened the door, however, I was very pleasantly surprised to find a very up to date renovated room with plush carpet, beautiful bed with very comfortable mattress, sofa, coffee table, large flat screen TV, microwave and fridge! The room was clean and very comfortable. Also, they offer a "continental breakfast". That turned out to be juice, coffee or tea, muffins, Danish, yogurt, and fresh fruit! The service was excellent and I will definitely return if I am ever in the area again. It was a wonderful place to stay.
On a road trip through the South shore we booked a one night stay here. The lovely woman working this family run business was so accommodating and wanted to make sure we were happy with our stay. They are currently upgrading the rooms and although we didn’t stay in a renovated one it was very well upkept with a comfortable bed and new linens. Would definitely recommend this motel!
We stayed on night and it was a great stopover. The staff was very friendly and willing to tell you about the community. you must talk with the mother in law, she will keep you in stitches. The breakfast was very good.
