This is a very nice campground with a fantastically helpful staff. When we arrived, we were having a spot of car trouble and Todd instantly became our "go to guy". We have never experienced a more friendly caring and helpful campground owner ever! This, along with the absolute beauty of the place will bring us back next summer for sure. All of the sites have a lake view, and ours had lake frontage. We are happy to give this campground the highest rating possible. Wayne Sawyer
Kim and the crew work hard and it shows, friendly folks perfect location on a nice lake good WiFi, fire pits and great level sites simply our favorite campground and we will be back in 2021 From your fav’ English clients from Forchu
This is definitely a hidden gem nestled near the ocean and directly on a very beautiful lake. This was our second year where we had the opportunity to gather with family and friends. The cottages had all the amenities and the camp sites offered water and power. The owners always checked in to see if we needed anything. They helped build camp fires at night and supplied wood. Canoes and kayaks were also free to use. Our children enjoyed being 5 minutes from Port Maitland Beach as well as the water raft for swimming and jumping on Lake Breeze. Everyone is super friendly and the rates very reasonably priced. We are already looking forward to next year’s visit!
We spent a week at Lake Breeze while in Yarmouth visiting family. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the location is close to town and beautiful beach. The lake itself is lovely for swimming and kayaking. The place is dog friendly, and campsites are along the lake or on the hill overlooking the lake. It’s mainly a place for seasonal campers, but spots for transients are nice. Bathrooms and showers are older, but clean. There are activities each week set up for campers, and transients are welcome to join in. All in all, it was a great place to spend a week, and we’ll be back.
For an another year, we stayed for a week’s visit at Lake Breeze Campground and Cottages. In past years, I have posted a review, so this is an updated version. As previously noted, this is not the large campground. There are no activities hosted by the staff, so children will have to entertain themselves as was done years ago. There is a small playground and with being on the lake, there is swimming and fishing. This place has some of the most scenic campsite anywhere. All sites have a view to the lake and many are right next to the lake where you will commonly see loons. Most campsites sites have water and electric but few have septic. But there is a dumping station so Rv's can be accommodated. There are several sites without electric, which seem to accommodate groups of cyclists. The washrooms may appear rustic, but they are clean. Word of caution for anyone using the shower. Plumbing is such that is anyone flushes a toilet while you are in shower, you will experience scalding water. Showers are free, so no need of having to bring quarters. The campground is not large and there are many seasonal campers who are very friendly. The campground is managed by Kim and Todd, and other family members, all of whom will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. There is a laundromat in the main barn which is useful for travellers. There is no camp store in the office, so be sure to bring what you need. But there is a convenience store 5 minutes away. There is free Wi-Fi, but unfortunately, it is sporadic service. There are a couple cottages that are for rent for those wishing not to camp. These are nicely outfitted with a veranda overlooking the lake. The campground is 15 minutes from Yarmouth which is convenient if catching the ferry to Maine (when and if it is running) or going for groceries. It is also 5 minutes from Port Maitland beach. If looking for a quiet scenic place to camp, or a staging area for during day trips in the area, then this is a great place to stay.…
I stayed at this campgrounds for 2wks and had a campsite with a great view of darling lake.the sound of the loons at night and the campground was very quiet, washrooms were clean and the shower was great.there's fishing rite there with bass and perch.i couldn't catch a fish for the life of me but after making friends with the seasonal campers they brought gifts of fresh fish to me....thanks Raymond&Eric.this is a family run campgrounds and the owners are great people.there campsite fee was very reasonable and every thing you need is there.being from Ontario it was a pleasant suprise to meet such a great bunch of people at this campgrounds......thank-you lakebreeze...... claybuster tom.
Our brief stay was a combination of what they can offer and more - it was a hoot!. 16 of us-Some of the family tented, another using a camper and my husband and I rented a cottage. and we even had family just dropping in as visitors. We were happy with it all: The tent site was geared up for a 30amp and I only had a regular extension cord so Todd (Part owner) offered an adapter for my daughter to use; who was staying at that site. You know kids, they need their cell phones charged. As for the trailer site it was outfitted with sewer/electrical/ and water, perfect for a 30 ft trailer to run everything they had. Picnic tables at each site, and the family who were just visiting were welcomed with smiles. Did I mention that they are Dog friendly as well. Our family had 3. (as long as you picked up after them.) My husband and I; we had what I would call the cat's meow. We booked two night in their cottage. It was so nice to have, cuz we were tortured with rain and that little bungalow housed all of us- 16 people -all day Saturday with room to spare. We had TV for the kids, table to play cards/games , and a veranda to sit and just watch the skies fall. it was beautiful. The little kitchen outfitted with appliances ,pots and accessories was so handy. A regular little apartment with a bonus BBQ to use. That BBQ was the best feature to feed all my gremlins. I also wanted to add that the owners were very attentive to all, asking if we needed anything or just dropped by to get to know us. It wasn't noisy, or crowded and others respected the quiet time and everyone was so friendly -saying hi or how are you. I think most of the noise was made by my family. LOL Would we go back , you betcha' ! if they'll have us. :-) thank you, Chad and Todd for making our family feel welcome.…
My previous review provides most of the important details of this location. Since last year the campground is under new management and the owners have continued to make some improvements. The female's washroom was refurnished with new plumbing. Most important is the showers now have temperature control so prevent getting scalded when someone flushes the toilet. Plans are for the men's washroom to get refurnished next year. Also next year are plans for a new washroom to be built on the other side of the campground. That side has many of the best campsites in Nova Scotia, over looking the lake. As I have previously said this campground may be regarded as a bit rustic, it is very clean. Very impressive is that the owner and his two sons (Chad and Todd) are very accommodating and want to do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They went out of their way to make our week long stay a great vacation.…
Very clean, quiet and nice place to stop. Very friendly owners. Glad to have meet "Darlene" the lake monster! Very easy to find. They have upgraded a number of the sites. Washrooms were very clean, well lighted.
Once again we returned for a week's stay at a campsite at Lake Breeze Campground. As previously noted, this is not the large campground many people flock to. There is no activities hosted by the staff. Instead, this place has some of the most scenic campsite anywhere. All sites have a view to the lake and many are right next to the lake where you will commonly see loons. The lake is perfect for swimming and fishing. Most sites have water and electric but few have septic. But there is a dumping station so Rv's can be accommodated. This year some renovations were done and now several sites have been outfitted with 30amp service and a parking section installed for easier access. The washrooms may appear rustic, but they are clean. Word of caution for anyone using the shower. Plumbing is such that is anyone flushes a toilet while you are in shower, you will experience scalding water. Hopefully, with some of the other renovations being done, the plumbing can be upgraded to avoid this issue. The campground is not large and there are many seasonal campers who are very friendly. The campground is managed by Terry and Debbie who will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Very disappointing to read negative comments about this management. Must have been bad case of miscommunication, because we have stayed here for over 7 years each summer, and never an issue. The campground is 15 minutes from Yarmouth which is convenient if catching the ferry to Maine or going for groceries. But it is also 5 minutes from Port Maitland beach. If looking for a quiet scenic place to camp, this is where to go.…
