As part of a tour of the Alps, I spent one night in this hotel.
Very friendly welcome from the reception staff. Very central location in Lienz. In the neighboring building there is an underground car park with parking spaces for hotel guests' vehicles. Large and very clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large and very clean. I liked that the room doors still had "normal" locks. From my room on one of the upper floors I had a wonderful view of the square in front of the hotel and the surrounding mountains. I was able to sleep undisturbed at night. I really liked the pool and the sauna on the top floor. Both the dinner and the breakfast were very good.

Nice ladies at reception, explained how I get my motorbike into the underground garage.
Very nice room with a special touch I haven’t seen at the 8 other hotels on this trip.
At this time we have a heatwave in Europe, this hotel had an extra sheet available, so you don’t have to sleep under a duvet.
Room was fine with nice bathroom, breakfast was very good, bread from a bakery, a lot nicer than that bake-off stuff.
By the way , at 10 PM Lienz is sleeping.

There was an annual festival going on when we arrived in Lienz, but Francesca (5***** for Francesca) was so helpful in getting us checked in and then parked off site from the hotel. Our room had a lovely view of the square and mountains in the distance with a big window that let in lots of fresh air. Hotel restaurant was good as well.

If you want to park your car in the underground car park, you have to know that it is a bit away and does not have an elevator. The parking lots themselves are very wide and modern. The bathroom is a bit strangely divided. The shower was too small for me. Otherwise a nice place with very good breakfast.

We stayed for 1 week in this hotel, had the luxury to have a very huge room with a nice view on the main place and mountains. The room was very clean, same goes for the swimming pool, sauna, which we appreciated after hours of skiing . Well situated in the center of the town to have dinner at night

First and foremost we'd like to thank all staff. Everyone, but really everyone in this hotel - from reception over room service to restaurant staff - were very friendly and welcoming. Also a highlight is the breakfast buffet which offers a variety of choices. The rooms itself are average but clean. The location is great.

Very nice hotel in the city center. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, tidy rooms and almost obsessive cleanliness. An extra point for the girls at the reception, Francesca and Nina, always smiling and very kind. We will be back.

Final of motorbike tour, we stop in Lienz for the last night. TA recommends this structure to us. Excellent location, decent room, excellent sized bathroom and bedroom. Good breakfast and average prices for the area.

What a gem. If I had known what this hotel was like ahead of time I would have booked 3 nights there instead of 1. I'll start with the staff, they all spoke English very well and were more than helpful with all the questions we had and getting us hypo-allergenic bedding.
The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Lienz. You can walk to everything and they have free parking.
The views, wow this is what really made it great. From our room you could look out over the Alps and it was just breathtaking. On the 6th floor of the hotel they had sitting rooms, ping-pong and a swimming pool. Whils swimming in the pool you had views of the Alps and of the beautiifully lit castle that was in town.
We highly recommend the Hotel Traube, it is a very romantic hotel.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2019. I had a room in the back, which, while not scenic, was quiet. I heard from some of my traveling companions that the town square gets noisy late at night as the bars empty. Room was spacious and clean. As most small European hotels it lacked air conditioning, but thats to be expected in the mountains. The room was stuffy, but I hear the management will provide a fan on request. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. Management were very helpful and cheerful.
