We stayed one night at this comfortable, modern hotel and were pleasantly surprised by an unexpected room upgrade which gave us a very spacious suite style room on the third floor. Extremely comfortable bed, bathrobe and slippers and a wonderfully luxurious bathroom complete with lovely toiletries. We didn’t eat in but walked down into the old town for dinner - pleasant kilometre or so walk with the last 500m fairly steep. Breakfast was excellent though puzzling initially without any instruction regarding the buffet - very good value indeed. Would definitely recommend.

We are a family of four from Ireland (two adults, two teenagers) and spent Xmas week in this lovely hotel. This was a repeat visit from a few years earlier and memory did not disappoint. The staff were courteous, helpful and our lack of knowledge of the German language posed no problems at all. The breakfast buffet had an array of various fresh breads, choice of juices, teas, coffees, cereals, fresh berries and cut fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, eggs etc. The evening dinner menus easily catered for us all, vegetarian and carnivores alike! Santa even came on Xmas Eve and gave each of us a present! The saunas and steam room area was relaxing, clean and warm. The bedrooms were very comfortable although the underfloor heating had to be adjusted downwards as it was too warm at times! The proximity of the hotel to the ski lifts and ski hire shop is a big bonus. The hotel is only a short walk into town. We would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Michela and all the staff.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for a week and I must say that this has been the best winter holiday so far. Our apartment was very comfortable for 4 adult people, there is also a kitchen, seperated toilet from bathroom and I liked the view from windows a lot! The best thing is the lift just next to the hotel. You can go straight to the slopes, which is amazing... Breakfast was fine, it was always the same, but I still liked it. I only missed some items, like fried eggs... Dinner was also really good. Food was always fresh and delicous, big and rich portions. However, some meals came again after 5 days, which I find quite dissapointing... anyway, I always like them!
I am very thankful for hotel´s staff too. Especially waiters Max and Eddi were very kind, helpful, friendly and we all really enjoyed their presence. Thank you.

We are an American couple who travel a lot and are Hilton diamond members. This hotel exceeded all expectations. The reception staff spoke good English. We chose the one bedroom apartment which was huge. Separate toilet and shower/bath rooms. All fixtures nice quality. Very clean throughout. Fast WiFi about 80 mbs download. Dinner was nice with menu in English but only sufficient English from wait staff. There is a very large parking lot shared with the gondola next door. We walked one minute and had a nice ride to the top for 18 euros. We walked around for 2 hours in the meadows soaking in the beautiful views then rode back down to the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel in liens look no further and worth the 10 extra euros for the apartment versus regular room.

Our apartment/suite was huge, modern, immaculately clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast buffet with a great selection. A few steps away from the Zettersfeld cable car but it is nearly 30 mins walk into Lienz (uphill on the return)

We stayed one night on the way to Dolomiti but we wanted to stay one more night. Room we stayed was modern, very large and clean and had a nice view. We had a dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was great and the price was not very expensive. Owner was surviving our table which we assumed and he was very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Shower and bath were very good too. Breakfast was delicious with lots of selections. In front of the hotel, we took a cable to go up the mountain. It is very good location for that. We want to go back again!

Stayed here for one week with our 2 kids (2 and 5 months). The hotel and staff is very family friendly. Choose the appartments with kitchen and 2 rooms for the best comfort. The food is great as well and there’s a playing area so parents are able to enjoy their food as well. The location of the hotel is just underneath the gondola to the skiing area so you don’t need your car anymore. Skipass are for 3 area’s so people who need more variety are suited as well. But with small children this area is just perfect. We hired sleds for the kids to sleep in and there are some nice walking trails to a couple of lunch spots which you can also reach by skiing. We definitely come again with the fam!!

Had a one-night-stay at the hotel. Great size of our room (apartment), big size bathroom and good size of the bedroom! Breakfast had everything one could wish for. Both check-in and check-out at the hotel was quick and easy! Would like to come back here in the winter as it was a "Bahn" right outside the hotel!

We spent one night at the Holunderhof on our way to Carinthia. The rooms are well designed and spacious and spotlessly clean. We loved the Wellness area. Break-fast could be a little better, the choice of cereals and fruits was a bit disappointing. But it is plentiful and service is good.
