This hotel is hard to review - we learned that it was recently purchased by a new owner and thus the service gaps and quirks we observed may not persist for long. On the plus side, the location was excellent - very central on the beach promenade and direct oceanfront location. Also, the rooms themselves are recently renovated, clean, and...

Stayed here on a business trip, the reason this hotel was selected was that room service was available. The evening I arrived exhausted from a long days travelling I was told the restaurant was closed so no room service was available that night. I was however told that room service breakfast would be available in the morning from 7am. I...

Who has ti handle everything - so check in took sone 30 mins as there were some people before us and in between she had to speak...

Hotel Helios is a decent and well kept hotel on the seafront in Blankenberge. Nicely furnished luxury rooms with great beds. Breakfast is packed with all kinds of goodies. The reception is very warm and you feel immediately welcome. Still, a few hiccups: the bathroom deserves a walk-in shower instead of the awkward shower placed in the bathtub. The television...

Denise and I both love the beach and wanted to dip our feet in the North Sea so she planned our first stop in our road trip to be a few nights in Blankenberg on the beach front. The hotel is right on the beach with many others along with shops, restaurants, video games play rooms and more. Along the...

How can staff completely ruin a trip? Ask this place, they're expert. Stayed here for a family trip, 6 adults and a baby. Hotel itself is way overpriced for the standard they give, is a decent three to four star and nothing more. Basic plain rooms, necessary comfort OK. Hallways look smudged. Breakfast is OK, not great choice but does...

I stayed with my partner and our baby in a junior suite on the 9th floor. There's no sea view, but the city side also offers a nice view. The room was clean and spacious, looked exactly as shown on the website, both of the hotels and of Booking.com. No cigarette smoke smell, as suggested in some of the reviews....

Hotel Helios is sumptuous and modernly designed, and it has spacious and clear rooms. Because of its location on the sea dike you will have a great view towards the beach and the sea from the hotel rooms*, the restaurant (Greek quality kitchen brought with passion and sense for tradition) and the roof terrace. You will be able to relax and enjoy the numerous coast and hotel facilities. On the roof terrace, with comfortable deck-chairs, you can sunbathe undisturbed and there is an exceptional view across the sea and polders. “Parking is limited so and cost 18 euro per day, the breakfast is included in the price of the room so you don't have ot worry about that. the best rooms are on the beach side so you can watch the sun and see the water and beach any time. Lastly they have a top roof sundeck for the summer months so you can sun tan and get away from the crowds. The hotel is not hard to find but because streets are one way once you get into that part of town GPS will not bring you direcly to the hotel.”
