Booked a room here but ended up leaving without staying the night as they couldn't give us the room type we had booked - luckily. Facilities are dirty, run down and old. Some of the rooms feel like caves, others are bigger and brighter but still very battered. Place evokes a general "don't touch anything"-feeling

Hotel Ter Zaele has been operating for at least 3 decades. It is located in the Polders away from the hustle and bustle of the posh Knokke-heist beach town, yet close enough by car or even to cycle (one can rent bicycles). Very good price/quality. Good pool (an indoors and an outdoors during Summer) and sauna. Very friendly owners and...

Ter Zaele is a lovely hotel. We stayed here for 5 nights in December/January and felt very much at home here. Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the gardens, kitchenette, bathroom, separate toilet. Breakfasts in the morning were great. Our girls enjoyed cooking their own eggs! Cereal, yoghurt, toast, cheeses, hams, croissants, even champagne on New Years Day! We enjoyed...

Nice, silent place in the neighberhood of Knokke, between Sluis and Bruges! Two big city"s to be visited. This weekend we have the Zoute Grand Prix, with a lot of exclusive cars (Mc Claren P1) and a lot of visitors. Only the weather wasn't so good, at Sunday, it was reaning cats and dogs, but we have a nice stay...

I went to this hotel for one night during the weekend of 9-10 March. I chose this hotel after seing its website which was selling a relatively good value for money. However, the pictures are overselling when comparing to the real state of this hotel. Indeed, the swimmingpool is very nice on the picture but in reality, the room is...

We ended up booking this hotel at very short notice after our other booking was cancelled due to flooding. Therefore we went with very little expectations, just being thankful that we had a hotel during a very busy time of year (Christmas markets!). However, we were very very pleasantly surprised. Yes, the first impressions from outside this hotel aren't great,...

I really had to think hard but this place was marginally beaten into second place of my all time worst hotels by a dive I stayed in with my parents in Rhyl (then again that was 1981). Myself, wife and 3 young children actually had an enjoyable holiday driving to Knokke, Ostend and other beach resorts as well Sluis and...

We stayed in room N 4 which is really needs improvement - paint in the bathroom pilling, drain in the sink blocked, the kitchenette is very tierd. We couldn't justify price which we paid. Couldn't sleep - mosquitoes. But the receptionist was very friendly.
