Together with a colleague, we booked this hotel for just one night, as we had an early morning meeting the next day at the airport of Düsseldorf. The location is marvellous! Conveniently close to the city but still remote enough to enjoy the quiet and beautiful landscape with plenty of nice walking trails in the immediate vicinity. Airplanes can/ will be heard, as the route to the landing strip of the airport goes directly over the premises. It did’nt bother me much though. The buildings are beautiful as well. The main building breathes history (built in 1666) but has all the modern features to make it 21st century -proof. I had a single room which isn’t big but clean, modern with all the amenities a hotelroom should have. Just one small remarks: the building is quite warm and so is the room but fortunately one can open the window for fresh air. Also the restaurant and separate coffeebar (great selection o f coffees…) are top notch. So the decision is taken to come back, but now with my wife to use Gut Dyckhof as a base for walking and exploring Düsseldorf.

We loved this little hotel. So much character and so tastefully decorated. Staff are excellent and very helpful. The grounds were beautiful. Bedroom overlooked the courtyard and the old part of the building- very picturesque. Quiet at night for sleeping. The food was plentiful and absolutely fantastic at dinner and breakfast- would highly recommend and would most definitely stay there again rather than in the busy town. Here you can relax and recover after a long flight.

Historic building set in the countryside on the outskirts of Dusseldorf. Walk outside and you would not believe that you were only a short distance from the city. Staff are very friendly and helpful with a good standard of English. My room was a little dated but roomy, comfortable and adequately equipped. a good sized desk available if you need to work. The room I stayed in (room 2) was joined to the suite next door by a locked door which was inadequate for keeping out the noise from that room (and vice versa I assume). For 2 nights I had to endure the sound of the television from next door, fortunately turned off at 10pm but nevertheless distracting when working. On the third night the sound of a very amorous and energetic couple!! The highlight of the stay was definitely the food. Breakfast is excellent both in terms of quality and selection of items. The dinner menu is expensive but the quality and presentation is superb. The restaurant is used by non residents and is clearly popular. In summary, a nice hotel with great food, but avoid room 2 if you prefer peace and quiet

This lovely hotel is located in the outlying district of Düsseldorf. Nevertheless a bus stop in only a 5 min walk away and public transportation (bus & tram) takes you downtown in about 30 min. We also went by taxi once, it's only a few minutes shorter. If you prefer a quiet and pieceful landscape instead of the noisy and busy city, stay there! Our room was furnished with much taste and cozy style (vintage charme). The room was very clean, the bed was comfy. The bathroom was really huge. The breakfast had a huge variety of food that even the pickiest eater gets satisfied. As well we got fresh to order served omelettes, that were delicious. The service was very obliging and friendly. Parking available direcly in front of the hotel. We definitely recommend this place and will come back again.

Stayed at this hotel for only one night for work reasons. The surrounding area seemed lovely and very peaceful. The rooms were very spacious, bed was comfortable and bathroom was very clean. We had both dinner and lunch at the hotel and the food was exquisite! Excellent place to have business meetings and I am sure that if it was summer and not snowing outside, you could easily go for a walk to stretch your legs since it looked like there was quite a large area to be able to do just that.
