The perfect place we could imagine! Beautiful resort with unique historical architecture and design, Run by Alberto and his wife who are both super hosts! They serve great breakfast in the garden with view to the lake and help at any time with any need. The rooms are cosy and beautifully designed with an espresso machine. We had an amazing week travelling the area and are very grateful for the experience and hospitality 🙏
I can only recommend it 100%, the family runs the hotel with so much love, everything fits, they drive you to the restaurant in their private car. Everything is perfect here. The rooms are also very nice and spacious.
This place is fabulous. We stayed here twice over the last two weeks on our way to and from Switzerland. It's a family run hotel with great rooms, great views of Lake Maggiore, great breakfasts, and great dinners especially the pizza and the lasagna. The owner and his wife are very kind and helpful and their children all help as well. I highly recommend staying here. My only disappointment is that they close in late October for the winter! We wanted to stay again on our way to Switzerland!! (Flying to Milan and then driving to Switzerland)
Very nice place to stay to relax and to explore the surroundings. Beautiful setting and great location. Large and comfortable rooms with a view :) Host are very welcoming and friendly. Delicious breakfast à la carte on the terrace - great espresso! The only downside is that the railroad tracks are right behind the main building.
This is a gorgeous hotel with uninterrupted views of the lake run by a friendly couple who go the extra mile to make your stay extra special. Alberto and Simona manage to create the perfect ambiance to make this hotel something close to heaven. We just loved the generous breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the lake, with local meats and cheeses galore and a freshly baked cake every single day. (Breakfast 12.50 euros) Alberto always had a new (excellent) restaurant to recommend (and then booked for us the best tables for some of the finest food we have had for a long time). Nothing seemed too much trouble for him. And he was great on advising the best places to visit too, like the Cascata del Toce waterfall and the Maggiore Express. Our large room was beautifully furnished. We stayed in the Dinghy apartment with a large balcony overlooking the lake. It was faultless. It was great to be able to enjoy Nonna's lasagne or a home-made pizza when you didn't fancy going further than the bar, while good wifi and decent parking were also available. We were originally due to stay 5 nights. But we loved it here so much that we decided to stay an additional 6 nights - it was that good. The gardens are beautiful to stroll around, and there's a good walk into the nearest commune, Belgirate, which is about 15 mins away (they will also run you in/pick you up.) There are ferries from there to nearby Stresa three times a day. Is it too good to be true? Well there is a railway at the back of the building, but that wasn't running when we were there. And there is a road between the hotel and the lake. But you can't actually see it from the hotel, and even though our room was on the front of the hotel and I'm a light sleeper, the windows were so good that we didn't hear a thing while we were there. Location might be an issue for some people. We loved the tranquillity, the lake and the mountains. This is a great value, boutique hotel and we can't wait to go back.…
