Our first holiday as a family, having stayed many times next door at the Palace as a couple... Requested a room near the children's pool which was ideal and quiet. Food was good, pretty standard Riu stuff, almost too much choice. The Asian restaurant made a nice change, we ate most breakfasts and lunches at Atlantico, then the 2 buffets...

Was here last January and I must say it was perfect. The place was stunning, very clean, food was very good with a great selection and location was great. Having dinner in Atlantico (one of their restaurants) while the watching the sunset and looking out at the sea....again stunning. During the day the back gate was open and can walk...

Great hotel and service just not the majority of other guests there, mainly Germans who do not smile back at you and walk round with there noses in the air. I asked if it was a German owned hotel due multiple German TV channels, and food, and I was told they own 49% of all the Riu chains. The hotel...

This is a very good hotel. The location is excellent, coming out of the back of the hotel straight on to the promenade which takes a pleasant 10 minute stroll to restaurants, bars, shops, beach and sand dunes (beware when the wind is blowing strongly = sandblasting). The hotel is kept scrupulously clean, and our room was very spacious, with...

Great hotel with an excellent location right on the promenade, within a 5 minute walk you are by the small selection of shops, bars and restaurants in Maspalomas. The rooms are newly decorated, a decent size and very clean. There are 2 restaurants which you need to book for, ones a Chinese which is very good and the other a...

Positives, Clean, refurbished hotel, friendly and efficient staff. Food good.Good location All inclusive. Negatives. Very big, 1400 guests. Lots of loungers but best positions taken up by people putting towels on early. Lots of smokers and no designated smoking areas outside and in external bar areas and often a pall of smoke about. Too few seats in entertainment areas, but,...

But not much fun for young people without kids. Very practical, great location at the sea, good food, friendly employees and very good service. Food is good for a resort with 800 rooms, but the wines are horrible if you have the slightest expectations and affinity for wine. That is a pity as Spain has so much to offer. The...

After having stayed at a RIU hotel (Clubhotel Vistamar) for the first time in January 2013, it was now time return to an RIU experience again. We were quite happy with Vistamar really but wanted to get closer to the ocean, so we opted for Clubhotel Gran Canaria instead. You immediately get impressed when entering the hotel. The reception area...
