I got to the campground expecting to to pay 23$ per night (as advertised on the website) and was told it was now 35$ per night; tenting site.
Website says cash, debit, credit and cheques accepted, got there, cash only.
The road to the campground (campground property) at first was paved then turned to dirt (not gravel) and is the worst road I have ever seen for potholes.
Lots of full time rv's.
One set of washrooms located on the middle of all of the serviced rv sites (good walk from tenting sites) and there are no outhouses for your early morning, late night pee.
When I got to my site, it clearly hadn't been mowed for a good week; the grass was 6-8 inches.
It was overall a quite space, full timers (season pass holders) were not unfriendly but also were not friendly.

Location is good and it is convenient to the highway. The campsite is poorly maintained and overpriced. One central garbage can only and only one toilet/shower open. Wi-Fi is an extra five dollars per night per device. On our stop lat Year we couldn’t even find a staff person to sort out payment although we were not late arriving. Very disappointed!

We have been travelling the maritimes all summer. I usually choose a campsite based on reviews...but this time we did not. The website says there is wifi, when you pull into the office area the wifi is strong (this seems to be the side of the highway where most of the seasonal are as it’s more of an open field). Then we were told that we were being put over on Bear Paw Rd which is on the other side of the highway. My husband was told the wifi “wasn’t working”. I’m reading between the lines to say there was never any on this side of the highway!
We get to our site in a 30’ Winnebago pulling a tow car. It’s in a thick wooded area so we had to unhook the car and then back the rv in. We also had an obstacle (see photo) to navigate..a sinkhole. It was not filled in and just had a stick with red tape tied to it! My husband is a fantastic driver and got us into the spot anyways! We use our own facilities but when we went to the laundry area to run a load of wash we found the one (outside) washer/dryer setup not working.. the coin slide is jammed. I called up to the office to report. Nothing done. We only stayed two days, just so hubby could go to Kings Landing. Would not stay here again. Owners need to invest both time and money to bring this side of the campsite up to a decent level. This campsite is geared for seasonal campers who do their laundry at home.. take the wknd away from the Internet etc. When your a traveller these things become more important.

This is a great spot if you enjoy a more natural environment. It was a former provincial park which is now private. There are a large number of annual campers but there are still many sites available for overnight and more extended stays. We travel with a fifth wheel and had a site with water, sewer and electrical. The only down side is that the water is not potable so you need to bring your own supply. Good washrooms with showers and a washer and dryer were near our site. There are also numerous sites without services for those you enjoy tenting in a more secluded environment. Easy access to the St John River for swimming and boating. The owners are exceptional and everyone we met in the park were friendly and helpful.

We have been seasonal here for 4 years in all the 4 years we have been in we been on the wooded side as you are not able to get a spot on the water side as that is cheaper then being in the woods...haha I found this year it has really went down hill they do not have anything for the children to do on the other side and with being in the wooded side you think that they will be able to place a child play structure so the children have something to do and enjoy! The beaches this year are very very disgusting it is full of dog and bird feces which could be raked daily but nope. On the sign it shows that it has water slides but there hasn't been any for years so that is false advertising. If you are a seasonal camper and if you approach the owner he does not want to hear what you have to say he will just say if your not happy leave and not try to fix the problem, so no one will speak up to him as they are scared to get kicked out which shouldn't be.

I been totally disappointed this year in this park and I would not recommend it to anyone!!

People! It's camping! It's the real outdoor experience with extras! We travelled to this campground for the first time with two other couples. I must admit we were a little surprised when we saw the lovely campground by the water and realized that was not where we were camping. Our site was across the road for a couple kms and in the woods. Having said that, we were happy to have a large drive thru campsite for our large motorhome. The sites were large, clean and had all three - PWS. The bathroom had a double shower which is split by a curtain which I wasn't willing to share, haha so I just locked the shower door. All was clean and maintained constantly and there was a washer and dryer as well. The paths aren't paved but all the kids rode around in their parents golf carts all day singing and having fun. Our picnic table and firepit was good and there was no curfew for the adults who enjoyed their down time. The water was a short distance away but a seasonal camper allowed us to leave our boat at their dock. Fun weekend!

We called ahead of time about this site as there were 3 children of different ages to keep busy,,,we really wanted to try kayaking and they were in awful shape no one to explain anything the paddles broken!!!...so never got to do one of the main things we wanted to try.....there was nothing for the kids no volleyball or basketball to use,,,,never seen anyone to help were things were ,,,had to drive to everything on awful roads, the campsites have large crushed rock which is very hard to walk on and hurt your feet a lot. The children were disappointed as hard to even bike on the roads. Dogs barked all day!! The beaches were awful and not maintained at all....would not return to this campsite. Not enjoyable at all!!!! Way over priced as well for what they offer...40$ for water and electric and they were so far apart could not hook up both!!

The sites are really wide and shaded. There are kilometres of trails for ATVs, bicycles, and golf carts. There’s a beach and places to launch boats. The washroom facilities are fairly new and clean. The campground store has snacks and essentials. A golf course is on site. The sites are fairly spread out, though.
While the campground is perfect for ATV riders and golfers, it is not great for kids as there is no pool and only one playground near the office.

The campsite was very disappointing. There was trash strewn throughout the site and used toilet paper in the woods about ten feet from our tent. We soon realized that the bathrooms were a 1/4 mile away or a ten minute walk round trip. The bathroom smell was so overwhelming we had to leave the site. We were offered cabin tents but when setting up our bedding found mouse droppings on the bunks. We were so disgusted we demanded a refund and found a nearby motel to stay in for the remainder of our trip. We will never go back.

Unless you are camping in an RV I would avoid this campground at all costs due to *unsanitary* conditions.

This campground is primarily geared towards seasonal RV campers with little or no regard or consideration to tent campers or campers using the "wooden tents" or cabins.

When we arrived at our campsite (#214 Bear Paw), we found a large amount of trash in the fire-pit area and it was obvious that although the site had been vacant for days, it had not been cleaned or tended to.

We went ahead and set up camp - at the time it was around 50 degrees (fahrenheit) windy and drizzling so we didn't notice anything else wrong with the site.

After setup we realized that the bathrooms/showers were at least a 1/4 mile walk back through the campground (verified on Google Maps). Just to note, the closest tenting site to the bathrooms was still further away than any of the camper/RV sites.

The next day as the weather warmed we started noticing an overpowering bathroom smell coming from the woods right next to our tent. Upon investigating, we found that previous campers had been using the woods directly behind the site as a latrine with used toilet paper strewn everywhere. Not to excuse their actions, we believe this is a direct result of having a minimum 10 minute round-trip walk to the bathrooms.

We considered moving to another tenting site nearby, but found the same issue in all the sites we checked (soiled toilet paper & trash).

We immediately went to the office to complain and the attendant didn't charge for the previous night and offered to move us into the "wooden tents" or cabins (#3 & #4) right on the water.

As we were moving into our cabin (#3) I noticed that it seemed a little dirty and when I began to set up our bedding I noticed a large amount of mouse droppings in the bunk. We checked the bunk of the other family we were camping with in cabin #4 (who had 2 kids) and noticed the same issue. As we investigated, it looked as if there were several seasons worth of droppings in the bunks.

We returned to the office to demand our money back. The attendant offered us a 3 room cottage instead but we figured that with such an obvious lack of standards it wasn't worth our time and we left to stay at a nearby motel.

This experience was bad enough on it's own, but I used to camp at Woolastook Park as a child with my family and it pains me to see what it has become.

The owners, Blaine & Cheryl DeRoches, obviously need to take an interest in *all* of their customers and provide a basic level of cleanliness that anyone would expect. Even a couple of Porta Pottys closer to the tenting sites would go a long way.
