Of all the places we stayed during our cross-island road trip, this was by far our favourite. We stayed in room 5 and found it to be spacious and clean. The back door led to the yard with a view of the ocean. The motel has a common area where continental breakfast is served each morning. We had toast, cereal, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. - enough to get us started each day.

One evening we sat in the dining area to play a board game, and another day I sat there facing the ocean to do some work. It really was idyllic.

The staff (Paula and Joy) are simply incredible, very sweet and always accommodating. We were told we could use the main kitchen to store and heat up our food. One evening, we discovered that a takeout meal we had been saving had accidentally been thrown out. Joy immediately arranged for us to have a meal next door at the Boat House - far above and beyond anything that we could have expected!

I could have stayed at Northport Pier Inn for a week or longer, and felt completely rested and rejuvenated after 3 nights. Am already looking for a reason to return.

My family and I stay in the beautiful North Port Inn in Alberton PEI. Beautiful accommodations, clean and a beautiful view of the harbour. The staff bent over backwards to make your stay the best. They were friendly and very personable. Due to covid we were provided with a continental breakfast and if you wanted more, 5 mins into town was a quaint cafe and bakery that served a big breakfast for 5.00. The restaurant which housed the wedding was beautiful and the food was amazing. If you are just going for a meal, I recommend you make reservations beforehand. Would have liked a fridge in the room but there was lots of ice in the machine so that definitely would not stop me from returning. A beautiful staycation in the Atlantic Provinces. Felt safe during covid and will definitely be back

We stayed here one night but will definitely be back again. The room was on the second floor with a spectacular view of the bay. Room was pristine, sheets were clean, just a beautiful place. Only thing I would suggest is, if you happen to get the package deal with the restaurant coupon, make a reservation at the restaurant at the same time. I choose the package with the restaurant gift card and when we arrived after being on the road for 7 hrs we were told the restaurant had reservation only and was booked until closing. After a few minutes of discussion with the hostess she informed us we were able to use the gift card and order take out, so we did and took it back to the room. But it would have been nice to know this before hand
Your breakfast consists of a muffin, fruit, coffee, juice, yogurt and or granola bar

I stayed at the Northport Pier Inn for three days while visiting Prince Edward Island with my wife and elderly mother. The rooms at the hotel are clean, comfortable, and have a terrific view of Cascumpec Bay. The hotel is located right next to the water, and fishing boats add a picturesque touch as they motor from the pier and marina near the hotel across the bay to the open water. They may wake you up as they leave en mass to the fishing grounds at 4:30 AM, but it's worth a look out the window to see them move like fireflies across the water and out of the harbor. The Innkeeper, Cathy Bullied, her husband Mark, and the hotel staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

We have been coming here for five straight years. Why? Well, reading the numerous reviews from our travelling community will abundantly explain that, however we want to add a little extra depth to the perspective.

The inn is the PREMIERE accommodation on the west/north cape, bar none! It's off the beaten track in a REAL fishing port where you can watch the boats go out every morning and walk around the piers to see the bounty they returned with.

It is a quiet place to RELAX. A 3 star inn, it is sufficiently luxurious to not disappoint. The rooms are good, however this year we decided to try a suite for the week we spent there in August - and WOW, what a difference! The view, privacy and solitude from our second floor deck was priceless. Sure, it's a few more dollars, but we loved it, and from now on it will be a suite for us.

The Boat House resto is great, but so is the Harbourside Takeout just 300 feet away. They have the best seafood takeout in west Prince. You can save a lot of money by buying delicious seafood here and taking it back to your suite or room at the Northport. All that is missing is a good bottle of wine - and would you believe, there is a liquor store right in Alberton!

Alternatively, fresh cooked lobster can be purchased at Royal Star Foods Ltd. in Tignish and brought back to your suite to enjoy. Magnificent!

The Alberton/Tignish leg of the Confederation Trail is awesome and not to be missed.

I stayed here with 8 family members for 5 nights and am pleased to recommend the Northport Pier Inn to anybody planning a trip to beautiful P.E.I. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast (included) was excellent. The rates were very reasonable as well. All this came with a breathtaking view of the water from a private balcony. There were also several good restaurants nearby, including a small take out canteen next door serving the most delicious "fast" foods and ice cream. It's a wonderful place for a tranquil and peaceful holiday and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Did I mention that we loved it? Staying at The Northport Inn was the highlight to our trip to PEI. Mark and Cathy made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Private balcony looking over the Nortport Bay and the straights of St. Lawrence beyond.
If you saw the review with low marks for "WY-FI" (mispelled) ignore it. If you are concerned about WiFi then stay in the city. BTW... I used the free WiFi everyday and it worked fine.

We found this Inn on Trip Advisor and what we found the most captivating was that most of the time, the pictures of the resort on the web are often nicer than the actual place itself. But this was a FIRST time where the place in PERSON was prettier than the pics! The location can not be more picturesque. The view from the balcony of our room was just amazing! You can sit out with a glass of wine and watch the sunset or a coffee from the breakfast nook downstairs and bring it up to your room to sit out and watch the sun rise! The staff could not have been more accomodating, kind and helpful! And the BOATHOUSE is where we ate most of our meals for our 3 night stay!! (Our fave waitress Sheryl from Tignish with the funky glasses made our trip wicked!!) And you HAVE to true the Chef's seafood supper, the lobstedr poutine (Yes I said LOBSTER poutine) and the blueberry bread pudding!! TO DIE FOR!! The red sand beach and the marina are right out of a postcard!!! Continental breakfast was always satisfying and I also enjoyed time in the living room space to watch a movie and do a crossword. I would recommend this Inn to anyone and would go back in a second!! And we also got a GREAT last minute deal at $93 a night by doing our homework and going off season mid June. The only complaint... if you can call it that... was that our garbage was only emptied once in 3 days and toilet paper was not replenished but that was just an oversight and they did have new staff. And they are VERY miticulous about cleanliness and professionalism. But for those who complain about WI FI... sorry! We had no issues are were able to email home every day to update family and friends on our adventures as well as look up PEI local hotspots as we visited the island! LOVE YOU NORTHPORT!!! :)

I had such a pleasant visit at the Northport Pier Inn! We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room. The room was great, and made me feel like I was a part of "Island life." Whatever we needed during our visit, the front desk had. Our room faced the ocean and the view was breathtaking. We ended up doing some deep sea fishing, and it was an experience I won't soon forget! All in all, a fantastic hidden gem in Western Prince Edward Island!
