This is a really lovely hotel; it's impeccably clean, the rooms are bright and airy, the reception is very welcoming and the pool area is very clean and pleasant. There is also a lovely bar area down on the private section of the beach.

We were given a room with very adequate kitchen facilities with oven, microwave, fridge, hob and all utensils and cooking pots. It was more than sufficient for self catering. Our room had a balcony and sea view. This resort has varied rooms so I can't answer the above question directly but all rooms in the block we were in had balconies. I am sure if rooms are available they will upgrade.
The room we were kindly given by the resort on day of leaving as we had to vacate by 1000 was basic with a balcony but no kitchen. This was the first block as you enter the resort.

the buses will still be running and will run all year round. The bars nearby will stay open too. We go over in October and they are both open then. There is a deli in the hotel which is open most of the day. It is a bit expensive to use for everything but there are no local shops.

There is a bus stop outside the hotel and the hotel also has courtesy buses daily to Valletta (not sure about St Julian's) for which there is a small charge. There will be trips to the Blue Lagoon which you could book via the hotel. The local beer Cisk was 4.70 euros in June and a cocktail about 6 euros from memory. Sorry I'm not very helpful on buses and trips but we always hire a car from the airport.
