Very nice and tidy rooms and facilities.
Great quality of linnen, pool, car park, lounge and restaurant.
All comfy accessible, 2 lifts and short walking distances.
I slept very well and had a room with a nice little balcony.
Staff is really amazing, very professional and friendly, classy but not snobbish at all.
Elegant or smart casual at its best.
Pascale and her colleagues at breakfast make your day starting way happier.
Very good maintenance and very well equipped for cleaning your hands anytime with generous good quality desinfactant spenders all over.
WiFi fast and reliable.
Shuttle to the beach provided.
I would come by car if possible even though you also have everything you need on site. There was also lunch and dinner and a nice bar inside lounge and next to the pool.
Absolutley recommended for holidays or a short getaway.
I fell in love with Salento also because of this Grand Hotel and will be back soon.

Our room was really nice and had a great view of the city.
The staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean. The breakfast was very fresh and good quality.
The hotel tries to be a "high-end" hotel but there were some challenges:
Our room on the 9th floor was just below the roof bar open till 01:00. This was extremely loud from metal chairs being moved on the stone floor.
The last day we had no hot water for showering.
The room temperature had a maximum of 21 degrees which is rather low when it's 33 degrees outside.
The hotel is located really close to everything. I would recommend staying here but maybe go for one of the lower floors.

Attentive staff that go beyond to satisfy your need. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast room with wonderful natural light beaming in. More than decent lunch. Great for couples and families. I should add that on one day I felt a little unwell due to an ongoing problem that i’m dealing with so spent the entire day in bed; Not only were the staff excellent in tending to me whilst I was unwell (including going to the pharmacy) but they paid me extra special attention during the rest of my stay. Classic Italian hospitality!!! Thank you so much!

We checked in at 13.30, two sunbeds and an umbrella for 50€, no half day discount. Whatever, it was the last day of vacation and we were looking for an easy solution, with shower, restrooms, changing rooms...
Here's the fact: there are no services included! No changing room, the restrooms (dirty) have to be paid separately and there wasn't even the toilet paper and the shower has to be paid separately and it's open and only cold!
Of course, you can't bring food or drinks from the outside.
Unacceptable, there are no excuses.

Not satisfactory for a 4* hotel. Quite expensive, but far from the beach, you have to take an old Ape to get there, which is not safe and not comfortable at all. Being a seaside resort, they don't give you beach towels, you have to rent them for 1,5 euro a day. At the same time they would change soap in your room every day, which is a waist of mony and resources. Don't change my soap, gimme beach towels!) Chaise longues at the beach are also at extra price of 15 euro/day/room. They do not use modern technology, which makes check-in and check-out very long and tiring - everything on paper. Food is ok, but nothing special. Wine that they give you for lunch is piss. Pool bar does not offer cocktails, you have to get them at the lobby bar, where you cannot enter in swimming costume... So, every time I want a cocktail, I have to get dressed. C'mon!!! There is wi-fi but it's constantly not working... The hotel is rediculous and not worth the money spent.

The Cavalieri is a rather new and nice hotel with an excellent cost-benefit ratio - however, it is anything but a Grand Hotel. Its a family hotel particularly for small kids (child animation every day, playgrounds etc.). This is why its rather loud (kids disco!).The rooms are very nice, spacious and with excellent bathrooms. The breakfast is by Italian standards very good. The staff at the reception is not very friendly. Unfortunately, there is not a real restaurant (only a buffet dinner every evening in a huge dining hall in the basement.) The room rate was incredibly cheap so that is was an excellent bargain (particularly since there are not many hotels in that area that meet international standards)

A great place to visit, we were delighted by the staff, food and the room. The room was cleaned and the sheets were chained daily. The people are helpful and understanding and the food is delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the place! We had a wonderful time.

We had a great time at Grand Hotel dei Cavalieri as a family with a 3-year-old child.
- End of May/June are perfect, not crowded and not too hot
- Great location, 15 minutes on foot from the beach, or use the cool tuk-tuk shuttle with Susy
- Nice spacious clean rooms, very comfortable beds (light sleepers better have ear plugs just in case)
- Super friendly and professional staff
- Delicious buffet breakfast, thank you Anna for the gluten-free muffins and Nicoletta for the tasty cappuccino!
- Very diverse dinner buffet with excellent local ingredients. Thank you Lello and Giuseppe, the local red wine Susumaniello was great! Highly recommend the package with dinner included.
- The pool is special, with yellow and blue tiles to resemble the sea, great for kids - and for aperitivo! Bartender Mimmo makes great Aperol spritz, or ask him for a glass of local liqueur
- Great beach with different types of sand and also some large flat rocks. Comfortable sunchairs and nice big umbrellas. Crystal clear water in all shades of blue. Easy to get sandwiches, fruit, drinks and enjoy in the shade of the trees.
- Perfect to explore the south of Puglia by car. The area of Salento is stunning. Check out Lecce, Ostuni, Alberobello, explore the beaches and the picturesque countryside of olive trees and vineyards. The town of Campomarino is very small and the sand dunes make for a nice walk.
We hope to come back in the future!

On this occasion, I would like to thank the management for a nice time at their hotel. Beach and crystal clear water is something worth to be seen. All employees are at guests' service. I especially enjoyed the spa, massages and time spent by the pool. The pool employee.really knows his job and does it with pleasure. All compliments and recommendations.

Hi.. Are there bars & restaurants in walking distance?
Answer from GSammy71
Milan, Italy68 contributions69 helpful votes
well not really walking distance but not really too far. we've not walked till there cause of the weather conditions, but in summer or spring, it might take 15/20 min to go there. Walk is not that easy however due to road conditions.

La navetta che poi è l ape.... è aperta posti max 4 persone ...ma con le normative anticovid salgono solo la coppia o la famiglia...e non sali con altre persone estranee. C'è una buona distanza tra gli ombrelloni in spiaggia
