Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Grey Gables B and B for one night in November. After coming from 2 nights at another accommodation, I wished we had discovered the Grey Gables sooner!
The feeling of relaxation and calm that came over me when we drove up the driveway continued when we were given a tour of the house and our beautiful room. We stayed in the Bay Breeze room with the most comfortable king sized bed, a breathtaking view and a spotlessly clean bathroom.
Jacqui is such a gracious and accommodating host! She made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We lit a fire in the fireplace and relaxed in the living room for the evening.
When it was time to retire to bed, the quiet and the darkness made for the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The next morning, Jacqui made us a beautiful breakfast of homemade waffles with fruit and maple syrup and bacon. Tea, coffee and 4 types of juice were also offered.
The only negative I can think of was that we had spent only one night here! We will definitely be back again and have referred numerous friends to the Grey Gables. Thank you Jacqui for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing.

While I've been following the Gray Gables for years, I've never had the chance to come here. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be gifted this weekend getaway ❤️ I can't say enough good things about this B&B. The property is stunning, both the B&B itself and the view cannot be beat. It was clean, and decorated so cute for Valentine's day! Jacqui & Dave really put the care into making their guests feel welcomed and comfortable. It was also my first time experiencing an outdoor hot tub, and that is something you cannot pass up if (when!) you come here. They had treats done up for us, and the breakfast was spectacular.
All in all, it was the perfect getaway and I am already mentally planning our next trip!

Enjoyed two lovely peaceful nights at Gray Gables this week. Gorgeous, quiet home with no shortage of incredible views both from the dining room and from the bedroom upstairs. The king sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and the towels and linens were lovely as well. Spaces to relax were plentiful, and if we weren’t such chickens against the cold wind we would have absolutely taken advantage of the hot tub with a beverage and enjoyed the ocean view. The sunrises, and breakfasts were particularly excellent - Jacqui is a wonderful hostess and makes incredible coffee to accompany her beautiful and tasty breakfasts. We enjoyed the best French toast we’ve had in a very long time, perfect bacon and all the trimmings. Our second morning we enjoyed the loveliest cheese and veggie omelettes and again perfect bacon. Such a treat to get away, only 45 min from the city. We will be back for sure when the golf course is open and the spa settles down a bit. Thank you!

Dad, my 2 brothers and myself were in Chester to celebrate the life of my Aunt Shirley. Dad had booked us this b&b.
The location struck me first, sitting on a hill overlooking Mahone Bay, what a view!
We were greeted at the door by the owner, Jacqui, who was very pleasant with a beautiful smile. She showed us around the place, very nice!
We stayed in 2 of the 3 bedrooms which had their own bathrooms, showers and tv, shower pressure excellent by the way!😀
The complimentary breakfast is outstanding with 2 different options available daily.
This place is only 6-10 mins max from Chester.
Bottom-line, highly recommend this establishment. Jacqui & David are very gracious hosts who would go that extra mile for you! Sociable!!

Gray Gables is situated just a short drive away from the lovely village of Chester, and within easy walking distance of Graves Island Provincial Park. It is a fairly modern, purpose-built B and B, with three beautiful rooms, all with private baths. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There are two sitting areas for guests, equipped with books, games, and comfy furniture as well as a verandah and various outdoor amenities ( though we didn't use those this early in the season). We had a choice of two different breakfasts each day, and those we had were delicious, more than ample, and attractively presented. The water views from the property are endlessly fascinating.
Our hosts, Jacqui and Dave, were very friendly and accommodating, and even went above and beyond expectations to recognize the special occasion we were celebrating.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Gray Gables, and hope we have the occasion to visit again!

So delighted we happened to find this beautiful location just outside Chester to accommodate us for my birthday weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and relaxed. Lots of space to unwind and take in the gorgeous views from the large deck facing Graves Island. Our room was lovely with a breathtaking view from the window, lots of space to relax, movies on demand and comfy King bed. Each morning we were delighted with the healthy and beautifully presented breakfast which we greatly enjoyed on the veranda overlooking the ocean. We were close to all the places and things we wanted to explore in the area and it was wonderful to return each evening and take in the views from the deck which had a variety of areas to sit. Our hosts Jacqui and Dave were exceptionally welcoming and made our stay an unforgettable getaway! We will be making this awesome B&B our Go To
Spot when we are in the area again.

We stayed here spontaneously (noticed the vacancy sign outside the B&B as we drove by) and are so glad that we did. Jacqi and Dave were wonderful, welcoming hosts, and our room upstairs was very comfortable. The B&B (and the room we stayed in) has a spectacular view of Graves Island, and comfy chairs outside where you can sit and watch the stars or take in the beautiful scenery. Breakfast was served on the deck, and was absolutely delicious. Thanks for a great stay!

What an amazing time we had there this weekend. We were fortunate to be gifted a night here from our dear friend Shannon and chose the Ocean Mist room which included a spacious suite with an electric fireplace, an in room jacuzzi tub and an amazing view of the ocean. We enjoyed an outside hot tub under the stars and a 5 star breakfast the next morning. Thank you Dave and Jacqui for an amazing 37th wedding anniversary.

Truly, in one word, Exquisite says it for me.
I was needing to retreat and recieve nourishment for my body, my soul and my Spirit...At Gray Gables, I got it all! Jackie and Paul have created a space that feels like home from the moment you walk through the door, actually before that even during your booking.
The comfort of your room, the library, the sitting room here I sat on a rainy night by the fire, ocean views where ever you are and food that is 5 Star quality and is made with a heart of caring about your experience.
The front covered veranda makes it possible to enjoy, no matter what the weather and the outdoor hot tub overlooks the gardens, Graves Island and the ocean....What more could you want!
This beautiful couple have taken their home and created a Haven of rest and pleasure for solos, couples , family and friends that would be hard to beat!
Do yourself a favor, Book a Room! You won't be disappointed!

We had Spa passes at Sensea and chose this BnB to stay as it’s only two minutes away. We could not have been happier! There are three beautiful rooms, all with bathrooms in this cozy beach themed home. The shared spaces are very cozy and filled with books, magazines and games to play at your leisure. The view of Graves Island is spectacular and the property is huge. There’s a nice looking fire pit and a hot tub, although we had been in hot tubs all day so we opted out of that.
The private rooms and very clean and comfortable with heat controls in the rooms. The beds and linens are nice and seem to be of great quality.
Jacqui and Dave are incredible as hosts. They were both very easy to chat with and seemed genuinely interested in our visit to Chester. You get two breakfast options and both sounded great, ours was absolutely delicious. There was also 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate station available in the kitchen area which was easy to use. The value for money here is unmatched. Jacqui is the perfect balance of welcoming, engaging and readily available at any time but also mindful of our privacy, there were no awkward moments at all. We will definitely book here again!
