We loved stopping at Bayside! The home is modern, beautiful and immaculately clean. Breakfast was wonderful and served with the ocean view! The house is located with breathtaking views all around - you can see sun rising from the ocean and setting on the other side. There are lots of points of interest in the area - we visited the Legacy Center in Cupid’s which had an active archaeological dig as part of exhibition, stopped at Green point lighthouse , fishing harbour, we also went for a most beautiful hike.
This was our first experience at a B&B and to put it mildly it won’t be our last!! This place is outstanding from the time Judy greets you at the door until she says goodbye when your leaving there is nothing but 5 stars here! Breakfast was great everything was presented and tasted lovely Dinner was too if you choose to have it there you won’t be disappointed so we recommend trying everything you won’t be disappointed.
Judy was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view from the room was amazing, we got to do some whale watching from our bedroom window. Breakfast was delicious.
Judy and Basile were so welcoming and helpful. The B and B had many nice touches (fridge in common living room, tea, coffee and water available at all times). Nothing compares to the meals that were lovingly prepared. Any questions about local events were quickly answered. We got ready for our elopement at the Bayside and it added to our fantastic wedding experience. We actually did our first looks on their lawn over looking the ocean. Best kind of place to stay.
This property has a 360 degree view of the ocean! Very welcoming environment where guests have a comfortable space to relax in outside their bedroom. The queen sized bed was very comfortable. Judy provided wonderful breakfasts each day. They were so huge no lunch was needed. When we stayed it was quite hot and the fan over the bed was helpful with the heat but it did make a buzzing sound. Not a big deal but the reason for the very good rating.
The Bayside was very nice, well located with lovely views of the water. It was close to the other towns we wanted to visit. The room with a water view was a bit small but the common area was spacious, comfortable and inviting, Our host Judy was very nice, accommodating and a great cook. The option of a homecooked evening meal was a plus. We enjoyed very much and would visit again and would recommend it to you.
We stayed here for 4 nights. Judy was a wonderful host. Breakfast was outstanding and the two evening meals were good as well. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck chairs taking in the views and enjoying a glass of wine, after a busy day of hiking and tourist activities. Judy also gave us many ideas of places to visit in the area. Our room was great and bed was very comfortable. Would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone
Fantastic views from this lovely B&B. Rooms were spotless, beds oh so comfy. Judy puts a nold bottle of their wonderful well water in your room. Downstairs you can always get tea and coffee. Us she leaves glasses out for your use. They even have a small ice machine in the hallway and ice buckets in your room. The breakfasts were the best we have had in Newfoundland. Not the normal eggs and bacon one is offered. Although we have had several B&B who gave us other choices too. Judy also asks you to.let her know in advance is you have any food allergies. She also offers an evening meal 5 nights a week. The menu. Items are on her website and you need to order at least a day in advance. I had the Moose pie with chips. The pastry was flaky and good. Loved the Moose filling. Nice chunks of Moose meat. The chips were perfectly cooked and homemade. My husband had the Moose burger with chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. Someone at another table had the fish and chips and said they were delicious. We had the en-suite room which is quite large and at the front upstairs of the house. It too had a view of the ocean. The dining room has ocean views on two sides. They also have the colorful chairs on the lawn so you can sit and enjoy the view. In addition, there us a very nice back deck. …
Judy is an exceptional host with a lovely home. The accommodations and surroundings are fantastic. Judy has created a very welcoming home for travelers to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. She prepared us dinner upon our arrival that was delicious and the next morning’s breakfast was tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the harbour. We’d definitely stay at the Bayside Bed and Breakfast in the future. If you’re in the area it’s a perfect place to stay.
We stayed 2 night. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable with a perfect view of the harbour. Breakfast was excellent. The location is good for day trips, Brigus and Port De Grave, are near by but there’s not much to see in Bareneed.
