My favorite place to stay on the whole island!!! This was my second stay and I will certainly return. I particularly loved the gourmet breakfast included with the room, sitting by the woodstove and enjoying the gorgeous view of the ocean from the house !

Judy and her husband are beautiful hosts at their lovely bnb. Very warm, cozy, new and clean. Just a short distance from the Port de Grave Harbour (we walked the 3 km each direction. No sidewalks so kept close to the shoulder). Her meals of hamburger and baked Cod were delish. Homemade fries and cod nuggets were yummy too! And breakfast was over the top! Hiking in Bay Roberts at Mad Rocks and Freshwater and Jugglers Cove was near by and awesome. We will be back! Great getaway for 1 night for townies:)

Thank you for taking the time to review The Bayside. We were happy to host your group during your stay. Sometimes we all need to get away, even if it is for a short time and even if it is only an hour away! We are open year round and enjoy the peacefulness this time of year brings. We hope to see you again in the new year.

Judy Bickford owns and runs an exceptional B&B in Port de Grave. We stayed one night, had a fabulous dinner of pan-fried cod and moose pie. The pie was made by Judy's husband, crust and all, with a moose he harvested! We had a truly remarkable breakfast the next morning with fresh-baked goods, french-toast, eggs, etc. Delish! Judy was kind enough to have a fire going in her franklin fireplace when we arrived, and again the next morning. The accommodations were excellent, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Highly recommend this little jewel! Sue and Dan

I can't say enough about this B&B. I enjoyed the guitar and woodstove for most of the evening and an absolutely delicious fine dining breakfast with an all around ocean view! I will return again very soon! I also recommend the many scenic hikes nearby on the coastline and a quaint cafe (Hardrock Cafe) just a 15 min drive away for an authentic Newfoundland dinner!
