My wife and I stayed here for one night as we visited the KK National Park. We did a couple of short walks around the park. The accommodation is very/extremely basic. The so called toilet is tiny. If your sitting on the loo and you look up, the shower head is looking down at you! The worse part is that...

Close to the park entrance and some friendly staff and a nice view is where the positives end. Bugs, bugs and bugs. Which you expect in Borneo but not in your bed. No wifi in your room, which is ok if they would advertise that. Loud road and karaoke bar less than 10m away. Food is just ok. Fine for...

The only reason I am giving this an average rating is its proximity to Kinabalu National Park. The rooms are rather small and the walls are kinda thin. The disco bar across the street is loud until late in the night. The food is barely passable. Only a couple of the staff seemed to care.

This place is situated by the road side and about ten minutes walk to Kinabalu park. Being next to the road has it's downside with big trucks passing by and a club across the road blaring out loud music till midnight. The place is clean. The toilet-bath is rather small. I am about medium built and had to do a...

Situated around 500 meters away from Kinabalu Park, a nice cheap place to stay if you don't mind the noise from the neighborhood since a Karaoke bar across the place plus it's situated along the road so expect passing cars. Other than that the rooms are clean, free breakfast is quite okay for the price, and most especially the staff...

This place is 500m away from Kinabalu park so it's ideal if you are planning on climbing Mount Kinabalu and/or visiting the park. We arrived without prior reservation but we had no problems booking a private room (there are also bunkbeds available). This may be due to low season though so better book. The staff were extremely nice! We could...

This is a cheap place close to Mt Kinabalu. We booked in a dorm, it was clean, and the amenities were rustic but clean as well. It is noisy at night outside because a lot of traffic but ok if ear plugs, and sometimes inside because of the snorers 😉. Good wifi in the restaurant, and the food is good...

We were looking for a place to stay near the entrance of the Mount Kinabalu National Park and opted for the D'Villa Rina Ria Lodge. The park can be reached by quick walk along the road. We also ended up hiring a taxi to go to Poring Hot Springs - the hotel staff was quite helpful in organizing the taxi....

I didn't asking for 5 stars treatment and I understood very well. The location is really next to street with thin wall and the noise kept on hampering every time the car passed by. I can't sleep hole night. Breakfast was awful with cold white bread (the least they could do is toasted) Tea (sabah tea) was awful in taste...

I booked the best room for $35 aud, it was hellishly noisy from the people next door and the road traffic. Cigarette smoke came in my room from next door and stank out my room, management kindly moved me to another room. Unfortunately this one had a squirrel living in its roof. If I hadn't climbed mt kinabalu that day...
