I stayed here with my wife for one night. We returned here for the first time since getting married here 10 years ago. Have to disagree with Mel E on a couple of points. The hotel is a bit hit and miss in terms of room sizes and layout, but for me that gives it a bit of quirkiness and...

I have to agree with other reviewers on a number of points. The service is very hit and miss, on checking in I held the door open for staff carrying things in and was not even acknowledged let alone thanked. Ignored at breakfast, wasn't told breakfast time or place. Special mention to Nick though as he was the one member...

What a great place to stay! Not only is the building beautiful but so are the bedrooms and the public areas. On top of that there are fantastic grounds covering about 9 acres with ponds and a Japanese Tea Room. Looking forward to having the opportunity of staying at Fanhams Hall again.

A nice local spot for afternoon tea. Nice grounds for a walk also. Staff are friendly and hospitable. Food is of good quality and good portions with a fine selection of tea. Tea aficionado's watch out - tea bags in pots seem to be the order of the day which is a little disappointing and problem the only thing that...

We decided to go to Fanhams where Christine and Danny are getting married in 363 days time. So 10 of the couples family ladies went with the bride to be and had afternoon tea, it was delicious. Various teas, scones were light and the sandwiches perfect. Three of us are gluten free and all said the scones and bread were...

Not only is Fanhams Hall a gorgeous venue, particularly at Christmas, but it was the service of all the staff that made our day. From the food, which was wonderful, and far better than any other venue that we had tried, (thanks to the chef who took the time to sit down with us and explain the menu's) to the...

I was a guest at a wedding on Sunday. I was there with my one year old son. During the dinner the wait staff were excellent offering extra fruit when he was being fussy with his main. The front desk staff were also very kind talking to him when he was being chatty and adventurous. The bar man was very...

Twelve of us (locals) met up for a Sunday Carvery Dinner at Fanhams Hall, Hotel. Ware, Herts. It was an excellent meal the starters were laid out to help yourself & you could have as much as you wanted. The Carvery meat was beef or turkey or both & the help yourself vegetables were a good selection. Desserts were delicious...
