From the moment we checked in, it was a pleasure. Our room was gorgeous with a balcony overlooking a harbour. The walk in shower was great. We had a great dinner in their lovely dining room. Breakfast was included and was also delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
Great food, beautiful view, friendly staff. I recommend it highly. We enjoyed the calamari and fish and chips and draft beers. We drove down to Savage and someone there suggesting driving up to the lookout. You need 4 wheel drive. Great view.
We stay one night in one of the four rooms of the inn. Room was large, bed was very good and large, view was absolutely great with a large terrace. We really enjoyed our stay and slept very well. Owners were very friendly.
Happy Adventure Inn was on the list of hotels that our travel agency has booked for us in advance. We stayed for two nights and also took our dinners there. The hotel, our room, the food in the restaurant as well as the activities and sights that were offered exceeded our expectations by far. What a nice surprise. All staff members, James and his wife in particular, were taking very good care of us. The room had a stupendous view from the balcony over the bay of Happy Adventure. We had the best of all whale watching tours with the Happy Inn Crew, saw really many whales, dolphins, and puffins all up close. There are plenty of nice trails and beaches in the direct vicinity and a very active community on the peninsula. The hotel restaurant is the best in the vicinity and also draws many visitors from the neighboring villages and cities. We highly recommend a stay there.…
All the four upstairs rooms are lovely, overlooking the water. We had a corner suite with was huge with a lovely big bathroom too. Great service from James and fabulous dinner in the restaurant too. They also made us delicious sandwiches to take for our picnic the next day too. Wish we could have stayed longer, this place was fantastic
From start to finish, we had an excellent stay at the Happy Adventure Inn! Check in was easy, and they have you fill out your breakfast selection on a sheet ahead of time so when you go downstairs for breakfast in the morning, everything is ready for you! Shout out to James, the manager of the Inn, who called us the day before to ask us when we'd like to dine downstairs, as he wanted to ensure we got a table. He went above and beyond on everything during our stay! The food is amazing and the portions are large, you will be full when you're done. Our room was clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated, and the balcony outside offered a great view of the bay. To end with a cheesy line, our stay here was a happy adventure 😊
I’ve been eating here for 5 years and did review it after my first visit. I thought it would be useful to reconfirm my experience recently. Firstly, the view is spectacular overlooking a fishing harbour. The fish menu is excellent with the fish and chips being in the top 3 in the province. The decor is plain but pleasing and the service is first rate. If you are inclined towards a drink then I would suggest a Caesar. I definitely recommend this restaurant and am confident you will not be disappointed.
Love the view, love the people, love the food. Have reviewed before but am never disappointed. Squeezed in on 2nd last day of the season but there was absolutely no "end of season attitude". Food and service was as splendid as ever - N.B. We have not stayed at hotel - just eaten at restaurant. We will be back next year.
We can't say enough about the warm hospitality, gorgeous accommodations and spectacular food! We spent 4 glorious July days enjoying the welcome from James and Shar-lette, and all the restaurant staff. Gordon took us on a wonderful Zodiac tour of the area, including an iceberg. Our balcony view of the Happy Adventure harbour, Newman Sound and Swale Island (part of Terra Nova) was gorgeous -- especially at sunrise and sunset. It was an unforgettable holiday for my husband, his parents, and myself.
This is wonderful restaurant tucked away in Happy Adventure and a truly hidden gem. I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The view is spectacular, the decor is clean and attractive and the service first class with a fresh seafood focused menu. You won’t be disappointed with any menu selection but my favourite is the fish and chips which is the best by far I have ever eaten. They do have non-seafood dishes available including moose burgers
