I have spent 9 days in the Misool Eco Resort in November 2106 and it was truly paradise. I have been to Raja Ampat before to resorts in the northern part, but this resort and diving are on a next level. The resort is great and very spacious compared to other resorts. The rooms and facilities are amazing, but what...

Spent a very happy week here after a previous week in Northern Raja Ampat. The diving here is the best we have ever experienced with seemingly endless coral gardens and abundant fish. The lagoon on which the resort was built houses many juvenile fish and sharks and can be snorkeled directly from your cabin. Cabins are excellent and the whole...

This place is unique. Firstly the only luxury hotel in all of Raja Ampat. Built as a passion project for a British and Swedish couple who live on the island. This is a Maldives style resort in the most remotest place on earth. So don't expect phone signal or lavish catering, it's family style, but impressive. With lots to do,...

This place was amazing. It's truly hard to describe the beauty of this place, and what they went through to make it available to the (discerning) masses. Everything was perfect, from the check-in, to the food, to the rooms, to the scuba-diving / snorkeling. I couldn't dive due to a lung issue, but trust me, I saw and experienced just...

We got used to spend our vacations in upscale botique resorts. That's why i had to dig internet quite intensively prior to making up our mind to choose this resort. Due to it's location i was sure that the nature would be at it's best. However i had doubts about the quality of accommodation and services we would get in...

If you like scuba diving, peaceful tranquility, a crystal clear turquoise ocean, friendly unpretentious service, beautiful unpolluted pristine beaches and holidays are a priority that you don't mind spending a bit of cash extra on, then Misool would be a great choice. WOW. On so many levels. 1) Diving is outstanding. This is how coral reefs are supposed to be. Vibrant, diverse, and CLOUDS of fish! An enforced and patrolled Marine Protected Area is actually possible beyond just a paper designation. And being located in the heart of the Coral Triangle at the epicenter of coral reef biodiversity doesn't hurt either! Dive...

Dear wildtrekker, You’re so right! This is how coral reefs are supposed to be; thriving, healthy, abundant, colourful, and schools of fish swimming, darting and feeding in every direction! We get to hear so often how the reefs surrounding the resort and within the No Take Zone are incomparable to any other location some of our guests have ever seen....

I visited Misool in February 2016 for an 11 night stay. Usually after a long stay on a small island I am ready to leave, but with Misool I would have happily stayed another 2 weeks. everything about the resort was perfect. I would call it rustic luxury. We stayed with friends in the only 2 bedroom water villa. The...

My wife and I first visited MER in 2013 (if interested, see my review dated July 9, 2013) and returned for our second visit in February of this year. Our observations: In the three years between visits, the fish life has continued to rebound in a remarkable fashion thanks to MER's No Take Zone and ranger patrols of that area....

Dear Dave and Elaine, It’s always so exciting for the staff to be able to welcome returning guests back to the resort since everybody gets to know each other so well during each trip.
