It's really amazing resort ... clean beaches, so chill and relax ... right place to go on weekend if u need to get out of the hectic life in Jakarta. Food here was really nice, everything perfect, can go for snorkelling as well.

I think this is a place that nobody would even think of visiting unless they're local. If you're planning a break in Jakarta then pop out to this island and relax it's a short ride in a speedboat and once out of Jakarta you'll soon see a change in the colour of the sea.

I travelled here in mid October, with my family to celebrate for sisters birthday. We travelled from Jakarta by boat which took a couple of hours, but got see some breathtaking views on the way. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely staff, who offered us breakfast and gave us information about where were staying, and the activities available...

Dear Ms EstherBrown98, Thank you for the comments. I'm glad that you loved the experience of staying on the island. Thanks also for your compliment on the food and our staff. Regarding the electricity, it's true that we only turn it on the evening but it is also possible to have it on during the day upon request. Looking forward...

My fiancé and I spent 4 nights here along with my parents. The snorkelling is amazing with beautiful corral and fish all around the island, you can take a canoe or stand up paddle boards (SUP) to another island that is completely deserted and enjoy the peace and solitude there, as well as more incredible snorkelling! The rooms are fantastic,...

If you live in Jakarta and are looking for a brief getaway without having to board a plane or spend hours in traffic, Pulau Macan is an option. The resort is located on a tiny island in the Kepulauan Seribu archipelago off the coast of Jakarta and is accessible by boat from Marina Ancol in about two hours. The island...

It's a great little island for a short getaway! Room, shower and toilet were all clean and pretty. Food was great, the staffs were nice. The underwater scenery is not the best because the corals are quite dead but the variety of colorful fishes is really pleasing for the eyes. Plus, it's only approximately 2,5 hours boat ride from Jakarta....

Hi Retno A, Thank you for your comments. It's nice to hear that your experience during your stay on the island was exactly what we intended our guests to have. Regarding the boat ride, it was supposed to be 1 hour and a half or 2 hours maximum. However with the weather that's been quite unpredictable since the past 2...

The location is absolutely spectacular. Dotted with islands, the Java Sea offers a Maldives-like experience. Great for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking etc. It truly is an oasis, far away from Jakarta's chaos. The resort is basic, rooms are nice but the general area is a bit beat up. The food is terrible, one can get amazing Indonesian food anywhere in the...

Dear EeVeeHou, Thank you for complimenting us on our location and the water activities you experienced. As for the food, since you were not the only person who wasn't happy with it this month, I already talked to the kitchen team and told them about your comments. They were very open to feedback and committed to make some improvements. If...

To start with the one positive thing, the location, the pristine blue waters and the fact that this is so close to Jakarta is amazing! But I was appalled to find out that the price is not justified. We paid a 500 euro for one hut, so I expected some luxury. Although not 5 stars at least I expected clean...

Dear Karen, I am glad that you love the island and very sorry that you were disappointed with the rooms and the food. Regarding dirty sheets, it's been our problem for a long time. There are many pine trees surrounding our open aired rooms. Seeing red-ish orange spots on the sheets, our guests often think that the sheets get stained...

Had the time of my life here! I've never been so keen of watersports before, but this island got me in the ocean and not wanting to come out! Dinner on the Sun Deck is a great way to socialize and making new friends. So leave your smart phone in your room. Also loving the 'traditional' games they have at...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a simple island based lodge / eco resort in an unbelievably gorgeous location (especially considering how close we are to Jakarta). We have 6 open air huts and 3 cottages with two rooms each on our main island. We also have two small camp sites - one on our main island and one on our little deserted island. We do our best to be eco-friendly and are experimenting with efficient energy initiatives, natural building techniques, island based organic farming, coral planting, rain water harvesting, water efficiency, and local educational and economic initiatives to boost quality of life for the communities in our region. We also prioritise food and do our best to keep it delicious AND healthy. Ultimately, we hope to make you feel at home and hopefully inspired by a little pocket of bliss on the doorstep to Jakarta. ... more   less
