Detailed Reviews

During our time in the most beautiful paradise getaway we had an excellent service here at viva la vida. The staff are extremely friendly, approachable and knowledgeable of the island and activities.
The pictures on the page do not do this place justice, it's so much more beautiful than they show and everywhere you turn there is a little slice of heaven.
The bars and restaurants here are wonderful and every turn has great service and a lot of English speaking Brazilians.
If you come here you absolutely need to come for a few days and experience diving with the fish and relaxing on the most idyllic islands in the world.
It's been my absolute pleasure to stay here! Thank you so much viva la vida.
Clean 4/5
- The room was very freshly cleaned when we arrived, the sheets were smelling of lavender and felt very soft to the touch!
Location 5/5
- The hotel is located extremely close (2 small roads - less than 600m) to the island beach/entrance but is tucked away in a beautifully quiet area.
Hotel 5/5
- The room includes air conditioning as well as a ceiling mounted fan which coupled can make it exceptionally cool through the hot days!
- Wi-Fi is included and has good speeds considering the remoteness of the location and the rooms have a simple TV.
- The hotel offers a great breakfast included in the price and has wonderful service, the food is very Brazilian and has wonderful cakes, juices and fruits!
The hotel has other amenities such as a shower near the entrance for washing off sand before going into the hotel as well as hammocks to lounge in upstairs.
Service 5/5
The service was exceptional with extremely helpful staff, Wi-Fi was included and very good! The staff helped a lot with advice for the island and provided discounts and services with local agencies at great prices!
If you're considering this hotel. Take my word for it and come! You won't be disappointed!

Great place to stay - Vanessa was fantastic and even though my partner and I speak little Portuguese she was very friendly and helpful. Great rooms, clean, air con worked well, very central and breakfast was great. Highly recommend for a place to stay in Ilha Grande!
