This is our 4th stay here and we love it. The huts are spotlessly clean with hot water and cleaning when you want it. The food is amazing we stayed for 5 nights and ate 4 lunches, 4 dinners and 2 breakfast. We really love good quality food and the chef here knows how to deliver. AJ is back this year which is a bonus as he knows how to deliver excellent customer service. We will be back again later in the year

The lunch program was arranged by my close friend, the food tasted in the resort is awesome tasty, the presentation of food is too good. Both veg & non veg tastes are mouth lickering...
Anybody visiting Goa must visit this place..

Besides this the resort rooms are very hygienic, the ambience is good..

This resort is a combo offer of nice and pleasant stay with good food...

5 Star..

Perfect for: people on a budget, solo or friends and people who enjoy a quiet resort or yoga

Great:
- perfect location for the beach
- very chilled vibe and close to beach bars
-rooms are basic but large and the bathroom was huge
-nice veranda to sit on in the evening (no view though)
- section of beach was lovely and quiet, no big crowds of loud music
- reggae bar just 100m away did good food and drink in the day.

To consider:
- hardly anyone around (end of Season) which meant there wasn’t anyone to meet or a real vibe
- either have to walk 40 minutes along beach into Arambol or a taxi ride for dinner/night life
-wouldn’t be somewhere I would go with a young family

On a positive note, it's a lovely location. Hidden behind the dunes, away from the main beach, but just a very short walk through the palm trees. We stayed here 5 years ago pre-kids and were keen to return.

Unfortunately we found the owner and majority of staff to be rather unhappy people. Initial emails before our visit were answered abruptly and were unhelpful. On arrival, the owner could not even utter a 'hello'. Instead he grunted and pointed in the direction of check in. Electricity didn't work at times, we rarely had hot water. No apology. Instead we were offered a bucket of hot water. They also tried to charge us 3x the price for a taxi to Old Goa.

We have 2 young boys (aged 2 and 4) and we found Go-Ym to be very unaccommodating, unhelpful and welcoming to young families. The huts are nice, but overpriced. The service very disappointing.

We live in India and so are accustomed to how things here are often not straight forward. But we were still disappointed.

The place is located towards the quieter end of the beach and is just a couple of minutes walk from your room to the sea. But the good thing is it isn't right on the beach. The rooms were basic with a small cupboard (no lock) and ensuite bathroom and toilet. Madhu and his staff were quite courteous. When our train was delayed by over 6 hours we ended up reaching the resort only by 12.30am. But Madhu kindly rescheduled our car pick up and was personally available when we checked in.

However we had a very horrifying experience on our 2nd night of our 3 night stay. My husband woke up at 3am to find a burglar in our room. The small window lock was broken and he had managed to climb in right next to our bed! He chased him out and nothing was stolen but you can imagine our fright. Anything could have happened to us.
Madhu promptly came to our room with some staff and they started looking around. And we were told to go back in and go to sleep. As if that was possible! The next morning Madhu told us the thief was caught further down the beach. (I have my doubts about that though)

We unfortunately had to stay another night as we were moving to Anjuna post that and they did not have any last minute rooms. But it was me who had to suggest to Madhu that we would like to shift rooms and he offered no discount or any compensation for the trauma caused to us.

If you decide to stay here, definitely recommend checking the windows that they lock properly.

Response from Sanjaybick, Manager at GoYm Resort
Responded Apr 26, 2015
Dear Marlene I am truly and deeply saddened by the trauma you went through during your stay with us. Though we have had security in place all the night and day and still we couldn't do much to prevent this incident. It was a first of its kind incident during all the four years of existence of this resort. I deeply regret that this caused you not to sleep and hope that time will heal this.I can understand that you felt let down; we ourselves felt extremely bad that this has happened and offered as much support as we could to ease the anxiety of the situation. Thank you for staying with us and hopefully in the future we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back. Sincerely, Madhu

It was very good place to stay. Very good service, very helpfull manager and staff. Madhu helped us with our tickets and everything. There was very delicious food. And they have place for practicing yoga, with mats. Like everywhere there was some problems with wi-fi, but in general everything was ok. And this place close to see, and not very noisy.

I stayed here for 7N after moving from a nearby resort. Right from the start, the genuine kindness of the manager Madhu and his staff, made this place stand out. Although the accommodation is basic ( and the price reflects this), it is very comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. Madhu was always around and he helped to arrange transport without adding a surcharge. When I was unwell, he offered to send a bike for medicine and was just simply very kind. The food and juices are very good and clean. The resort is behind the sand dunes, so not right on the beach, but is a short 1 minute walk. Situated on a quiet part of the beach away from the main and noisy part of Arambol beach, this may not be ideal for walking back alone at night. However there are a few nice places to eat nearby. There was also good wifi from my room, something not to be taken for granted in Arambol!

I staid at Go-Ym Resort three nights in the end of my trip around South India.

The accommodation is good but basic which is to be expected. You come here for the location and peace not for the 5 start bedroom.

I especially enjoyed the fresh fish (best fish I had in my life) and the Yoga sessions right at the doorstep of my room.

The manager Madhu and the staff are all very friendly Madhu helped me with planning the rest my trip and gave some great advice about secrets spots in the area.

I rarely give reviews but in this case I promised because the service was outstanding!

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of our 4 week family adventure in India and I have been in two minds about reviewing this place because I dont want anyone to go and spoil it. What a haven. Madhu is the most incredible guy who made our stay so enjoyable. Our kids loved him and we cant wait to go back next year. The family room was big and really comfortable. The restaurant is maybe expensive by india standards but I have to say that I had the best meals there than anywhere else. Thank you Madhu. x
