We stayed one week in early June. We were picked up at the airport by Andri and he took us to the local grocery and liquor stores. Once stocked up Andri drove us to the cabin. Very nice, clean well stocked cabin that is situated privately. The lake is gorgeous. The weather and the fishing cooperated. Being hardcore fly fishermen we took advantage of the many daylight hours in early June. Each night we were on the water until 11:30pm. We also arranged a day trip to a nearby lake. Andri put a boat on a trailer and dropped us off for the day, returning around 6pm to pick us up. Overall the stay was top notch with fantastic hosts, clean well kept cabins, good fishing. Rahel also ran into town for us as we underestimated booze requirements. On the last day our flights left late. To allow cabin cleaning time for next guests, Andri took us the ‘long way’ to Whitehorse. We had a nice driving tour of the area with several stops of interest. We will return to this private slice of Yukon paradise!

A great spot for those looking to get off the beaten path without needing to travel far outside of Whitehorse. Little Atlin Lodge is extremely easy to get to yet still allows you to feel as though you have the natural beauty of the area all to yourself. Plenty of activities to enjoy and enough peace and quiet to relax. Rahel & Andri were the perfect hosts and went out of their way to answer all questions and ensure a fantastic experience.

Thank you so much for your excellent feedback; it was a pleasure having you! Our location is indeed ideal for people on a business trip to Whitehorse who are looking to add a few days to experience the Yukon. As Little Atlin Lodge's rack card says: "Easy to reach, hard to leave".

For us this was the best of both worlds: an experience of life on a homestead in the Yukon wilderness, but with all the mod cons of heating, lighting and running water (we loved lighting the old-fashioned gas lamps every night!). We recommend that you buy Terry Milos's book 'North of Familiar' when you are there, as it explains how Little Atlin Lodge came to be. Rahel and Andri, who made the Lodge their home and have been welcoming visitors for 20 years or so, were always helfpul and friendly, with tips for hikes and visits in the surrounding area, from a gentle walk up White Mountain to a day trip to Carcross when it was raining. We borrowed one of their canoes and managed to paddle on Little Atlin Lake once the wind had died down, on the last day of our stay, and it was a magical experience. We hope to return before too long!

Thank you for your lovely review! "The best of both worlds" pointed out by you matches our own short description of Little Atlin Lodge: "comfortable living in a natural setting". We are glad to learn that you enjoyed your experience with us and different activities that are easily accessible - including the read of Terry Milos's book. It would be nice to host you again!

At the end of our three week journey through the Yukon we had four very peaceful days at Little Atlin Lodge. Spectacular mountain scenery everywhere! A great place to relax in very clean cabins, including wood burning fire place or short drive to quant towns of Little Atlin or Carcross. The owners, Andri and Rachel are very hospitable and informative and make sure you order the home made bread and jam! Next time we will visit in the winter for the northern lights. Mark and Olga

We stayed at the Little Atlin Lodge for a family reunion. The property is beautiful and well-taken care of. The cabins are well equipped, clean and cozy with charming propane lighting and stove. The waterfront is fairly shallow which was great for the kids, and the White Mountain hike behind the lodge gives an rewarding view of the valley. If you do stay, which I recommend, order fresh baked bread from Rahel - you will not regret it!
