My parents started bringing me to the Big Island in the 60's and I've been returning ever since Maui got a little too busy for my tastes. I've enjoyed Mani Lani going back almost 30 years–back to their opening as a true five star resort. I was told when making our reservation that this was our 19th stay, but adding...

We stopped in Hawaii on the way back from Asia. We selected this hotel based on both great reviews and location. We were not disappointed. The welcome we received on check in, the impressive grounds and location, the large and comfortable room all met or exceeded our expectations. We had a fantastic ocean view from our room. The staff was...

We traveled here during the off season....i.e. 4 people in the pool. It is really nice but dated....staff is great. Add your breakfast to your room, have lunch/dinner at Tommy bahamas between 4-6pm during their Happy Hour and go to the Deli for an evening snack. The beach is beautiful with lots to do. A 5 rating to me has...

Very quiet compared to some of the other hotels we visited. We were glad we were staying there. We were upgraded from an ocean view suite to an ocean front suite as the hotel is being renovated. It was a great surprise and we never were disturbed by the renovations going on. Very mice and would definitely stay again.

I stayed here with my husband. I cannot express how amazing this wonderful, quintessentially Hawaiian resort is. We also stayed during our trip at the Fairmont Orchid, which is just absolutely nowhere near as good as the Mauna Lani. I love this place and simply can't fault it!

I haven't visited this hotel in a few years, but I am assured from photos that it is still the same glorious resort it always was. I remember being there w/Sampras & Agassi for the Davis Cup...well, I was a watcher, believe me, we did a lot of watching to our delight. The rooms are spacious without leaving too much...

The hotel is just completing room renovations. I LOVE the cool, clean styling of the guestrooms. Over all a place that is not flashy but low key elegance.. The hotel has evolved to a classic status in my mind. Service is genuine and warm, food is creative and comforting at the same time... and everyone seems SO relaxed. Not perfect...

Amazing location, amazing views, food, pools, beach.. Everything was perfect! Recommend trying out paddle boarding or surfing if you get the chance, friendly and encouraging instructors. Buffet breakfast was a highlight for me because of the beautiful setting and the huge variety of food on offer. Also sunset from the balcony overlooking the beach- picture perfect

We always seem to come back to the Mauna Lani resort, again and again -- there is just something special about that property -- it's a lovely location, but there's more to it than that -- it has what the Hawaiian's call "mana" -- something powerful that you can feel -- at the property.... We have been coming at least...

We stayed here for 2 nights to end our Big Island trip, the welcome when we checked in was nice with leis and fresh squeezed juice during our check in process. The bell staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but the dinner at the Canoe House was fantastic! One of the most romantic dinners I've ever...
