Detailed Reviews
Under new management since March 2020. The site needs a little upgrading. As new owners Rob and Taylor are excited to host this campground area with plans to renovate in the coming year. Our cottage - 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We provided our own bedding and bath towels. Dish towels were included. There was no TV or internet this year. Didn't need it as we enjoyed the BBQ and quiet time by the firepit during the evening. Best wishes to Rob and Taylor in your new venture. The fishing is fabulous.

Under new management as of March 2020. Clean cabins with 2 bedrooms, bathroom/shower, full kitchen and living area. The twin beds were very comfortable. There is no internet or TV but didn't matter. We enjoyed the BBQ and fire pit in a quiet setting during the evening. The site is located half way between the Sault and Muskokas. Rob and Taylor, the new owners, are working hard to renovate the property. They were very conscious of safety and health. Our best wishes in their new venture.

This was the first year we did seasonal and love it as it suits our current needs being able to have our trailer in one spot. The location was nice and convenient as it was about an hour from work or home so we could stay till late on a Sunday or even commute to work from there.
Unfortunately, the park needs a lot of work of which
we were told was going to happen though didn't see any attempts at improvements.
The owners are not about customer service or park
appearance... using the word "Resort" in there name is somewhat questionable.. This word represents comforts at all levels, and there was no laundry, no rec
room for to hang out with other campers or family when the weather turned. No public washrooms . The play ground should be torn down and replace,
missing railing for safety and rust galore very unsafe and not maintained.
Though I can only speak for my husband and myself. We did speak with many other campers during our
summer stay and more so towards the end we all seem to have the same opinion on what is happening and not happening in the park.
They do not have any pride of ownership or passion
hence their sign at the entrance that is leaning over since the beginning of the season and never fixed. We realize they wish it to make money but in order for this
to happen there must be passion for the park and for the seasonal residents . You must invest in the things that matter and WORK hard as owners at repairing
and improving.
They nickel and dime you for everything, but show
nothing for it. Increasing fees and rules with no improvements..... I could go on and on but I think you get the idea now … Especially when I leave you with
this last bit of information; over 15 trailers are pulling out out of 40 sites as they have found nicer and cheaper seasonal sites for the 2023 season or are still
looking but are not willing to give them another dime. Some of the senior residents wish to move but can't due to age etc.
There is septic issues also that they need to be fixed ministry of environment ontario is aware ….

We just got back from a wonderful 3 days (2 nights) at Mangetawan River Resort. The cabin was perfect. Clean and lacking in nothing. The owners ensured we were taken care of. We lost our pump for an air mattress, and the owner showed up in minutes with an electric pump. The beds in the cabin were perfect as were the dining and living areas.
The park for kids is amazing, and our grandson enjoyed the safe and clean playground.
The beach! Yes, it is a perfect beach for wading out or running into the clean and clear water. The soft sand was perfect for the little guy, who enjoyed his beach time. Clean and lots of chairs provided for guests.
We highly recommend this park, for all they offer, as well as the hands-on owners who are so nice and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your time at this park

We are seasonal campers here and we absolutely love it!! The folks who continue to make DUPLICATE accounts to drag down the rating, are deplorable. The campground was taken over 3 seasons ago and the new owners have made leaps and bounds to improve it! Brand new docks, brand new foundation for the hall which contains communal bathrooms and laundry facilities! They have put new roofs, decks and doors on all of the cottages, the interior roads are meticulously maintained and the grass is always mowed. The 16 people who left (a couple were kicked out) are all from one group. They played their music FAR too loud and other campers complained. Their dogs were never leashed and they had zero respect for any of the other campers & their sites. We experienced it ourselves, 2yrs ago. They were unfriendly and refused to admit that they had taken advantage of the previous owners for YEEEEARS. They got away with paying nearly anything, for a beautiful, waterfront campground--and it was a dump & poorly maintained. They were all in the same clique and didn't leave because of the owner--but because they all got conned out of thousands of dollars by another camper who left with them with promises of a "new" campground/property he was taking over. Funny thing is, 2 or 3 of them are coming back. Don't believe everything you hear, when it's only 1 side. The campground is beautiful, we all get along great and new campers are now treated with 'respect.' The campground is a work in progress; and Rob & Taylor are wonderful owners.

I read the reviews and figured I’d still give it a shot.
First and last stay here…
Rented 2 cottages for 2 nights along with 2 of their aluminum boats.
Some of the reviews from last year stated that the park had water and sewage issues, that was still the case during our stay. One of the cottages smelt like sewage and as you walked off the back porch you were forced to walk through a soggy wet smelly pool of sewage water. They warned us of a freshly dug trench that was supposed to be removing the sewage water.
The second cottage, well that’s the cottage that someone mentioned bats in the wall.. again that was a review from a year ago and it’s still the same… bat poop all over their freshly built patio decks. You walk into this cabin and instantly can smell them, in the evening you can sit and listen to them screech in the walls.
Stay away from the boat rentals, They request a $500 deposit from you which is to be expected but to think you’re going to see that deposit returned to you when you hand over the keys to the boat is not happening. Instead you’ll be informed that you’ll receive the refund in a few days, after they get a chance to inspect the boat. I had to send an email 5 days after returning their boat asking for my deposit back.
Spent roughly 8hrs on the boat over the 2 days and was charged for a tank and a half of gas. A very comparable 20hp outboard motor would run me an entire weekend on a full tank of gas. Money hungry.
The good reviews here must be false. I sat up the second night and listened to 2 seasonal campers gather and talk poorly of the owners Rob and Taylor. It’s sad that they can’t even control and earn respect of their seasonal clients.
We stayed during an unfortunate fire ban where no fires of any sort were allowed.. I reached out to Taylor via email about a propane fire ring and was told that was not accepted, that no sort of flame was allowed. Well the 2 nights we were there we watched 3 separate seasonal sites have fires and nothing done about them by the owners.
Owners are slum lords. Every negative review is spot on, don’t believe me stay in cabin 6 yourself and listen to the bats.
