We booked two nights with a wowcher deal. This hotel is a gem of a place. It is not the plushest of hotel decor. But they make up for it with great food, drink, service and proper hospitality. We took our two dogs who were welcomed as warmly as we were. The ales were great and the steak was the... More

We stayed for 2 nights at The Baskerville Arms and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was welcoming and the breakfasts and dinner that we had were good! The room - 11 - that we stayed in was clean, spacious and quiet What more can you want? Connectivity with broadband and reception on the very small TV in our room were... More

Stayed two nights (2 adults) good selection on evening meals, in bar. A reasonable variety for breakfast. Twin room was clean, tidy and. Pretty well decorated. Very good value for the money. 158 pounds for what was half board.

Stayed here for two nights on a go groupie voucher was a nice old place and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and so was the wine and beer. The room was a little tiered but comfortable although it was a bit cold at times! The rads were hot but didn't seem to give... More

6 of us visited here in late September. One of the party were Gluten Intolerant and there was little choice on the menu for this. Wasn't a busy evening, however service was slow waiting 45 minutes for our mains. Food was nice but wouldn't rush back.

Realising that it was an old inn, we did not expect all mod cons but... The decoration of the room was shabby, there was black mould around the main window sealant and the bath was a disgrace! There was no enamel left on it so we did not feel we could use it and only a shower attached to the... More

Great short break with hubby and our two Golden Retrievers. made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Food was excellent. We ate in the lovely bar with our dogs by us. The hotel was very clean, although maybe in need of a little updating, but Percy only took over the hotel a few months ago and intends... More

A bit of a fawlty towers experience, creaking floor boards and doors that need to be slammed to close don't really lead to a restful stay, we ate here both night as it was easy one night was really good the other was pretty dodgy with a ridiculously long wait, most of the staff friendly but when you can't sleep...
