You will need a taxi. Walk here along the Lansdale Valley and enjoy the stunning scenery, succumb to a swift one at the Brittania and then walk around the corner on the road to Colwith.

We stayed in the Willy Goodwaller room recently. The room is lovely with an amazing roll-top bath. The hotel is beautiful and the bar is especially snug when the fire is roaring. Breakfast in the dining room overlooking Elterwater and the fells was a particular...More
Today I fell in love with the Eltermere Inn, went walking with my friend and we found this wonderful Inn purely by chance. The decor is great, the staff

Lots and lots of guided walks, easy and not so easy. We have done many and enjoyed the countryside around which is beautiful any time of the year. It sounds as if I am connected to tourism in this area but I am just a local lady from near Kendal who enjoys walking and beautiful country side. You can also enjoy a swim in the Langdale Country club = a concession which goes with the hotel, so after a hard days walk you can relax in the pool or hot tub it's just a walk away.
