We want to tell everyone that our booking went very wrong. At our arrival Mrs. Zhao owner offJack and Di's, try to accommodate us in a studio room instead of one bedroom family, without lake view balcony or spa as described. We've notice that the place we booked it was occupied by someone else. Needless to say we are very...

Hi we booked the entire place out expecting a very nice lodge as per the photos shown and I was more than disappointed! It was rundown, it smelt, everything was totally outdated! The heaters didnt even work, it was dark and uninviting, staff were hopeless- they didnt even do the breakfast that was included, they also didnt do a daily...

I am traveling with my partner, mother and mother in law. All are budget conscious and enjoy comfort. The bed configuration suits everyone. Double, queen and single. Mark our Manager has thought of everything. We ran out of loo paper, went to the office to find he wasn't there but he had draws full of everything we would need. Loo...

We stayed in the "villa" which is attached to the lodge. We discovered that it used to be a shop in the early days of the complex's existence but has now been converted into a two-floor accommodation with 2 single beds downstairs and a double in the upstairs room. The view across the lake is stunning and the wi-Fi the...

This property is no longer owned by Jack and Di, but the new owner still trades on the good name of these people! The accommodation was acceptable, but I find that when there is a confirmed booking, at least the fridge could be turned on, so that food can be stored upon arrival. The beds were fine, but I suspect...

I want to start by saying that the word "motel" has a different connotation in NZ than in the US. In the US, you never know what you'll get and it usually isn't great. You get what you pay for so to speak. In NZ, a motel, and we stayed in about 11 of them, is clean, comfortable, sizable, and...

We booked the villa because of the view and we were not disappointed. You can see the water from your room. It is magnificent. You can also see sun rise from the lake if you are lucky on the day. However, this is the best part of the accommodation. The owners are friendly and helpful and despite we arrived early,...

Do not stay here. This place is not in a tourist area at all. It is amongst houses in a run down suburb of Rotorua. The whole place is run down and looks very uninviting. We were shocked when we arrived and nearly didn't go in. In the end we stayed one night out of the three we had booked...

Stayed three nights in October 2015, rooms were of good size however they were not very clean and the kitchen facilities were very average. This could be a nice place to stay if it was better maintained and rooms were properly serviced. The price for this motel is very high compared to the other accommodations of better quality. Staff were...
