If you are, looking for a lovely spot f a holiday or even a short break, then I cannot recommend La Boucharel highly enough. Wendy and Michael made us so welcome, and their home is so lovely, that it was difficult to remember that we were not in our own home. Wendy's attention to details in all the rooms is testament...

having visited this beautiful place, we were charmed by the owners Wendy and Michael who bend over backwards to please but are not intrusive. The rooms are clean, tidy and have many original features from the farm cottage it was before. There are many options for your stay. If you are a large family, then you can book the whole...

This is a great find. Wendy and Michael were so welcoming. The house is in a small hamlet close to the village and among wonderful countryside. Our room was well appointed; the bed comfortable and a spacious en-suite with good towels and plenty of soap/shower gels. The views are fabulous and it's very quiet. There is also a little kitchen...

Le Boucharel is an absolute gem, a cosy home full of rustic charm offering the perfect rural retreat for ‘battle-weary’ executives. Upon arrival you are offered a warm welcome by the friendly proprietors, Michael & Wendy Scholefield, who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms are spacious, bright and full of character with lovely...

Well what can I say - I have just returned from a delightful stay at Le Boucharel. I visited Wendy and Michael for 5 nights, as an escape from the busy hustle and bustle of the UK with friends. We had some lovely sunny days sitting in the garden at Le Boucharel, exploring the local countryside and pine forests by...

Feeling frazzled I arrived at Le Boucharel and breathed a sigh of relief. This was the perfect escape from a hectic city lifestyle in the UK. Wendy and Michael's cosy home is warm and welcoming with a log fire in the large kitchen where breakfast is served each morning - fresh bread and croissants from the local boulangerie and homemade...

Spent the first week of our holiday in the Forest Gite; compact but with all necessities. Limited headroom in the sleeping area so take care on the stairs! Beautiful views/sunsets and walks; good maps essential as easy to get lost on the forest tracks. Wendy and Michael very helpful. Take provisions with you; the shop in the village has now...

“There is a newly fitted kitchen outside the bedrooms which is very handy if you would like to prepare your own food to dine on the balcony one evening. Wendy and Michael also offer evening meals so there are plenty of opportunities to try the local cuisine.”
