We had a two night stay and found to a comfortable, refreshing and delightful experience. In particular, the staff are outstanding. - a perfect blend of unobtrusive professionalism mixed with genuine concern and care for individual needs. The setting is extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful, the rooms quirky and characterful, but appointed with everything required for a pleasant and comfortable stay. It would have been nice to have a different dinner menu on the second night of our stay, bit otherwise perfect!

Loved this hotel. Really lovely house and location with views over Loch Long. Well away from the traffic and crowds at Loch Lomond on the very pretty and peaceful Rosneath peninsula. Great for a short break and very relaxing. Staff were wonderful, especially Laura who looked after us so well. Food in the Leiper fine dining restaurant was superb. Would have liked to eat in there both nights but sadly not open on Sunday nights - the lounge menu was ok though not as good though breakfast was very good. Excellent COVID arrangements throughout the hotel.

A lovely country house hotel. A bit on the pricey side but you are paying for the location and quietness. Would have expected a fridge and fresh milk in the room rather than sachets of milk. As mentioned by others, if you are staying here expect 15-20 mile drive each way to get anywhere. Kilgreggan (the next village ) is accessible by bus and has a nice little bar that does good food at a good price. All of the staff that we met were great. Laura was lovely and should be paid twice as much just for her positive/can do attitude. Would we go back? Probably not - a bit too remote for us. Wi-fi very hit and miss. Blinds in room 3 were a struggle for me to close - I am 5'9" - need to be at least 6'6" to open or close them if you don't want to stand on a chair.

The staff at this hotel could not do enough to ensure a pleasant stay at the hotel, they were very friendly and nothing was too much bother. It’s nicely located on the edge of the loch and was particularly nice during the good weather we had but it is located at least a 20 minute drive from anywhere significant, if you are based here for a few days be prepared to do some driving. The rooms are a bit hit and miss as we had moved room, some tired and some more modern. We had breakfast and a couple of dinners at the hotel and they were of a good standard in their very nice restaurant. I would say this is a good overnight hotel.

Overnight stay , we couldn’t fault it , welcoming staff from reception, bar and restaurant, nothing to much trouble made to feel so special. The rooms were comfortable and to a high standard, the food was exceptional and served in lovely surroundings, a hearty breakfast was served in the morning. A perfect break in these strange times of the pandemic, would recommend and return.
