It was a great room, clean. The house keeping went above and beyond. However the food got old real quick. I started getting sick after a few days. It’s pretty bland which is disappointing because there are so many cuisines and restaurants. Unfortunately, we chose to book with Air Canada for excursions and we were told that we can cancel one due to medical reasons and it’s been over a month and we have not gotten our refund. We were back and fourth with the rep, Eddy..but now we are being ignored by him. It’s a shame. Definitely don’t book excursions with Air Canada they just want your money and lie to you about the quality of the excursion!! Our bus was “air conditioned and big”. That was a lie. Also the excursion food was not “gourmet” as it was labeled. It was literally cheese and crackers! Disappointed. It’s more disappointing that my partner is leaving his review as well on google and they have deleted it twice in the same day!!!…

We had an amazing holiday at Planet Hollywood. Staff lovely and friendly, always there to make you smile. Our butler Alberto was very helpful and attentive with our requests. Francisco and Tommy from the Baywatch Bar provided us the greatest service on the beach that we could ever get. Reyna and Brandon lovely people, always had time for us. The restaurants were great, we did not really like the buffet. Not a great variety of fruits and the food was not the greatest in our opinion. The bartenders from the Premier bar and the Social bar great people too, trying to provide all the cocktails requested and even making us to try new ones.

Overall, decent resort. If you are flying with AIR CANADA, please be aware of the representative who works at the resort who helps you with excursions & booking your transportation back home. He works at the back area in the reception and he goes by Eddy, his number is +52 984 128 2567. He scammed us for an excursion and has not returned our money after 2 months. Be aware & book excursions through Planethollywood only!

I am just about to check out after a two week stay at Planet Hollywood and wanted to give my personal view which I will make as unbiased as possible. It’s very much a mixed bag when considering all factors. The strong points: • The welcome in the family side is great and a fun start to our holiday. • Pool complex is varied and very well planned out. • Activities for younger kids (<10) are plentiful. • The staff for the most part are very friendly and happy to help where they can. • Beach was slightly better than I had expected. Having stayed in multiple hotels in the region it wasn’t bad as other I have visited in the past. • Spa was very good and enjoyed the various water treatments and massage was excellent. • PH Tours were great and very professional. We went to Isla Mujeres and would recommend this. • We rented a cabana and received a discount. We enjoyed this and felt it was worth the additional expense. Area for improvement: • Inconsistent food and drinks across the property. • The rooms do have a slight smell and humidity issue but a dehumidifier from front desk greatly improved this. • We were not star class as the price quoted was very high. I have to say that other than the brief wait a few nights we had no issues getting in to restaurants. We usually upgrade to club level wherever we go but glad we didn’t on this occasion as it didn’t represent value to us. I also did not encounter any issues in receiving higher grade alcohol when tipping as little. This is not expected of course. • Additional charges occur fairly regularly across the resort for things I wouldn’t have expected to be charged for. Only small amounts but still unexpected. Summary: Overall, I had a good stay with my fiancée and daughter who is 12. My daughter wasn’t to engaged other than the pool and a little to old for the kids club so something to consider. Evening entertainment was ok. The shows were inconsistent with some better than others and repeated so can become repetitive. Also, after 11pm the only option is the nightclub which is fine on occasion but another offering wouldn’t have been a bad idea. I would return in the correct situation. I feel that this is a family hotel suited to families with younger kids. If you are looking for luxury then I feel there are better options in the area and if you enjoy quality food then again you may be best suited elsewhere as the food was just average generally. You will have a good time at this resort but if you come in with 4 star expectations I feel that the hotel is at this standard.…

We had a wonderful time at Planet Hollywood. Our butlers Nataly and Tharvin were exceptional in the Star class. Abraham buffet server over at So Cal buffet also had a table ready and remembered our drink order. Roxana start class pool waiter took good care of us Nicky did my makeup for the wedding in the spa. She is very talented. Belem did the hair and makeup of the bride. She can just look at the picture and fix your hair like you want. Excellent in the Spa. Daniela wedding advisor did a great job coordinating the wedding I would highly recommend this resort

This was our second trip to this resort. This trip we upgraded to Star class. Our butlers Gerry and Helb were very attentive. The pools are awesome. Food is good but not amazing. The property is very clean. Family loved lazy river and flow rider

This hotel looked perfect on the internet and me and my husband was so excited to visit. We decided to upgrade to star class as it was our honeymoon so we wanted to make it special. Few things if you are going star class to know.. - don’t go to the adult section to check in. You don’t have any of the amazing welcome as you get at the main lobby. No welcome drink. Good luck with a bellboy taking your bags. - don’t have high expectations of your butlers. We had Enrique and Lois. Lois was so lovely, however Enrique was useless. They say they will help plan excursions, make your holiday special… unfortunately we had to do all of that. -star class pool is not just for star class customers. We thought you had to just be star class.. but apparently anyone can join. This means if you wish for a drink around the pool be sure to ask for those premium liquor drinks because if you don’t ask you will get the crappy liquor instead.. even if you are paying for that privilege. Other things to be aware of: - this hotel has rules on how they expect you to dress for certain places in the resort. Fine for us, we stuck by them, however eating your evening dinner and seeing groups walking in with swimwear on..wasn’t ideal. Where are the rules??? - The hotel states they do not allow smoking around any public area. This is actually illegal in Mexico. There were so many people smoking by/in the pool. Again where is the rules??? - Entertainment was repeated. Great to watch for the first time.. after a second and third.. gets a bit boring. - If you don’t tip… some of the staff get grumpy. We always tipped as we knew how little staff get paid, however if someone wasn’t to tip, the staff shouldn’t get annoyed by this! That’s not fair on the customer. Positives: - We would love to give a shout out to Maria at the star class pool! She was amazing! She was the only person we felt actually wanted to help! She was so friendly and would do anything you asked her. Thank you Maria for that! - The hotel is clean and tidy. Yes the rooms are slightly worn, but it was still clean nether less! Personally; we felt the first welcome to the hotel really let us down and perhaps left us with a sour taste for the rest of the holiday. All it would of taken was a nice welcoming smile and someone to understand that for someone to take our bags would of been a massive help! We wouldn’t go back to this hotel unfortunately. We would rather spend our money elsewhere. We want to just make those who read this aware of some of the annoyances at this hotel and perhaps look elsewhere! …
